I tailor my approach to individual preferences, aiming to enhance your quality of life. Beyond coping with stress, anxiety, and depression, my vision is empower you to lead a more fulfilling life with joy and meaning.
I primarily use an integrative approach with clients, pulling from various modalities and treatment methods including cognitive behavioral therapies (traditional CBT, ACT and DBT), somatic experiencing and emotion focused therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic approach that centers around identifying and addressing thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and sensations. When utilizing a CBT approach, we collaborate to bring about positive changes in each of these domains, empowering you to effectively cope with your problem.
Acceptance and commitment therapy is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that places a strong emphasis on mindfulness, acceptance, creating a different relationship with your thought patterns, and aligning your life with your values. You may find this approach resonates with you.
Dialectical behavior therapy is another form of cognitive behavioral therapy. DBT techniques can be really helpful for you particularly if you tend to struggle with emotion regulation. DBT places a strong emphasis on learning skills. You may find this approach helpful if you would like to learn a lot of new skills.
Somatic experiencing can be helpful if you have undergone trauma, particularly if you experience physical trauma symptoms. Somatic experiencing provides a gentle way of helping you release the trauma from your body.
