Welcome! I am an LCSW licensed in New Jersey & Pennsylvania with 14 years of experience in the field. I have my Bachelor of Arts in elementary education & history from Hofstra University and my Master's in Social Work from Temple University. I have worked in a variety of settings including crisis, inpatient, community mental health & private practice outpatient. I believe everyone's journey through therapy is unique and sometimes the most difficult step is getting started. My goal is to establish a strong rapport with clients through a strengths-based, genuine, and nonjudgmental perspective. Utilizing an eclectic approach with evidence-based practices, I partner with each client to explore symptoms and establish treatment goals tailored to your needs. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which I support clients to increase happiness, regain control of thoughts, regulate emotions, and realign behaviors with your values and insights.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, we will review informed consent, intake documents and address any initial questions or concerns you have. We will continue to establish rapport and explore primary issues over the first few sessions to establish treatment plan goals. It can often feel overwhelming, but rest assured, we will move at your pace.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am an active listener who quickly establishes rapport with clients and tailors treatment plan goals to meet client's needs. I work with each client to find a balance between processing feelings/trauma and taking action with skills education. Clients appreciate my warmth, sense of humor and authenticity.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I utilize mindfulness to help clients increase awareness around thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Mindfulness is beneficial to increasing joy, and finding the calm in a storm. Mindfulness skills go beyond meditation and can be practiced anywhere, anytime. I also integrate mindfulness with other treatment modalities.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help clients increase awareness of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT helps clients to identify problematic ways of thinking and core negative beliefs. Additionally, CBT helps clients to challenge and reframe distorted thinking.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize DBT to help clients regulate emotions, manage distress, increase connection to the present, and enhance interpersonal skills. DBT is my favorite modality to use and has been beneficial in my own life. DBT skills are life skills!
