My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and strongly neuroaffirming. Hey there! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Boston, Massachusetts. I received my Masters from Boston College, specializing in Health and Mental Health. I love helping adults, young adults and adolescents struggling with stress, depression, and life transitions so they can reach their the goals they have for themselves. I am a firm believer that my clients are the experts of their lives, but sometimes we need some assistance in order to improve our lives. I love being one of those people that can help my clients along their way as they journey through life.
I’m a seasoned clinician with over 30 years experience in healthcare. I love what I do and, in particular, I enjoy helping people gain their best mental health and wellness potential. I would describe my practice as eclectic with extensive specialty training over the years. I specialize in working with adults and use a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Harm Reduction, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I enjoy helping people navigate the aging process and am skilled at supporting the end of life process. There are several aspects of mental health that I provide help with including depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, poor self esteem, and bipolar illness. As a licensed mental health counselor, I’m dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and curiosity. My background in research psychology, counseling services, and forensic psychology has given me a deep understanding of how our experiences shape who we are. I’ve worked in both inpatient hospital settings and outpatient dual diagnosis residential programs, supporting people as they build resilience, develop coping tools, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns openly. Together, we’ll focus on understanding your experiences and finding ways to create lasting change that aligns with your goals and values.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and mindfulness-based coach with over a decade of experience in education and mental health, specializing in supporting moms navigating burnout, emotional overwhelm, identity shifts in motherhood, and grief. I also have clinical experience in end-of-life care, which has deeply shaped my approach to holding space for loss, transition, and the quieter forms of grief that often go unspoken.
In my work, I support moms who look like they’re holding it together on the outside but feel stretched thin, reactive, and emotionally depleted on the inside. Many of my clients are moving through the grief that comes with motherhood itself—the loss of a former identity, unmet expectations, changes in relationships, or the realization that life feels heavier and more complex than they anticipated. Others are carrying more acute grief or life transitions that have shifted their sense of self and safety.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and CBT to help clients build emotional regulation skills, reduce reactivity, and create more space between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. The work is practical and grounded—focused on what to do in the moments when emotions feel too big, and how to reconnect with values even in the middle of chaos.
My style is conversational, down-to-earth, and direct, with a strong emphasis on progress over perfection. I aim to create a space where clients feel understood without judgment and supported without pressure to “fix” everything at once.
At the heart of my work is helping clients make room for both grief and growth—learning how to carry what’s heavy while still building a life that feels meaningful, intentional, and aligned with who they want to be.

I provide therapeutic support for individuals navigating depression, anxiety, and trauma. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m a licensed psychotherapist working with adults who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally unsettled beneath the surface. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, self-doubt, or persistent patterns they can’t quite untangle on their own.
My style is thoughtful, steady, and insight-oriented. I integrate practical tools for emotional regulation with deeper exploration of relational patterns and attachment dynamics. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and meaningful — a place where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you.
Clients often describe me as calm, direct, and attuned. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for honesty and structured enough for real change. My work focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but on building emotional clarity, stability, and more secure ways of relating — to others and to yourself.

Although it can be scary and confusing, it can also be empowering. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles and concerns related to anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.

Hello! My name is Jeyran Shahgaldiyeva, I am a licensed clinical therapist credentialed to provide services in Ohio, Massachusetts, and Florida.
First of all, let me thank you for beginning this journey. Starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time - so, please, give your self credits for being brave enough to make this big step towards improvement. Feeling better is possible. I'm here to support you.
I am a licensed mental health counselor with experience working with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma/PTSD. I take an empathic and integrative approach to therapy, meeting you where you are at, addressing the goals that you set for yourself, and selecting therapeutic strategies based on your needs.
In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I am a researcher and educator at Boston Medical Center's Grayken Center for Addiction Training and Technical Assistance and have a weekend job/hobby as a florist.
My name is Ashley, I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 10 years of experience. I have worked with individuals of varying age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and personality style addressing a wide range of issues (including but not limited to stress, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, ADHD, PTSD, grief/loss, codependency, self-esteem, and anger management.)
My name is Nadine Thompson, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Clinical Practice, from Smith College School of Social Work in 1991. I also have post-graduate certification in Addiction counseling, multicultural practice, DBT, and Couples and Family Therapy. I've worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression/anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma/abuse, addiction, relationships/parenting, and more. Over the past 30 years as a clinician, my experience has taught me that the most important aspect of counseling by far is the rapport, connection, and comfort you feel with your therapist. Recently, I have come to really see the value in being able "to hold space" for clients to express their deepest feelings and possibly find the answers and direction that they need as they become more self-aware.
We all want to be able to share our personal truths and be accepted and understood. I believe in the power of “telling our stories”, as a pathway to healing and resilience. Our work together may include you being able to see yourself and those around you more clearly and develop tools and strategies for creating change in your life.
I am a clinician with twenty-five years of clincial experiences as a licensed mental health counselor. I have worked with families, caregivers, employees, and adults over 18 years old. I visited families in their homes over the years before doing telehealth visits on a permanent basis. I have extensive experience providing mindfulness behavioral therapy, solution-focused methods, CBT, and grief counseling. Over the years, I have learned valuable resources for stress reduction through grounding techniques using the breath and cognitive restructuring to produce a calmer state of being. I participated in an all-day training for clinicians to learn how to apply nature-based interventions and tools for individuals interested in this intervention. Evidence-based studies show how nature therapy reduces stress, heart rate, and blood pressure, and boosts positive moods. You can practice nature therapy in your house without having to go outside as well.
Family therapy gave me insight into generational trauma, while working with families struggling with homelessness and simply living myself gave me an appreciation of the stressors that affect mental health. Individual outpatient therapy, where the client has space to explore themselves with compassionate support, drew my interest and since 2017 I've focused on providing individual therapy to adults. The perspective of a social worker informs my work as I consider at the bigger picture of society, community and family.

You are here hoping to find that therapist who stands out to you because you want to find someone who can help you. The search can be overwhelming for some. Most of the profiles of therapists are going to say similar things. Most of which should be standard like brakes on a car.
I cannot promise I'm the right one for you. Here is what I can tell you about my approach. I believe in being practical which means I will not use a lot of psycho-babble or fancy strategies. I have a tendency to be blunt. My wife says I'm the "bluntest politest man" she has ever met. I'm going to be real with you.
I love couples/marriage counseling, and that is my main focus. However, about half of my clients have always been individuals. Some people just need a place to vent. Others need help solving a problem, and most people need a little of both.
I know therapy might be a little intimidating or even scary to some. Try to think of it as a massage for your brain. It's a place where you can say whatever you want guilt-free.
