Starting therapy can be daunting, but I’m honored you’re considering me. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel comfortable being yourself.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. I specialize in chronic illnesses, anxiety, depression, and issues of codependency/addiction. I understand that managing a chronic health condition can affect all aspects of life, and you don’t have to face those challenges alone.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you understand yourself, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to overcome challenges.
Hello, my name is Ronak Makadia, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) with additional training in social work (MSW). As a second-generation, Asian American I quickly learned the stigma and shame attached to attending therapy, especially within the Asian American community. As a cis-gender woman of color, I value and will provide culturally competent services.
Please note that I only accept adults and older adults who are high-functioning but need support to overcome barriers. Due to the nature of my private practice, I am unable to accept clients who are seeking treatment for trauma, substance use or severe mental illness.
I work alongside patients to overcome any barriers they may be facing. I will always encourage you to create, learn, and consistently use healthy coping mechanisms. To avoid staying stuck, I collaborate with you in developing solutions to aid you in moving forward in your life. We all get stuck sometimes and I am here to help. Therapy does not have to be a painful experience and I will be here to guide you toward improvement in a welcoming, affirmative environment.
I support the movement to destigmatize therapy and make mental health care accessible for all. I will continue to support this mission and provide quality counseling. Talk to me about scheduling a first appointment if you are interested in working together.
I look forward to working with you!

I have studied many treatment modalities, including Adlerian, gestalt, reality therapy, CBT just to name a few I find it taking a creative individualized approach to each client helps them reach their goals quicker than a cookie cutter approach to therapy. Each person is unique in their issues and should be treated as such. I have been in private practice since 1994 and have worked extensively with the court systems with substance abuse clients. My work as an EAP has enabled me to address various issues extensively such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, various traumas, spiritual issues, and addictions. My approach combines compassion, expertise, and a deep understanding of the neurobiology of trauma. I also integrate cognitive behavioral techniques and mindfulness practice to create comprehensive care. I feel it is important to work collaboratively with my clients by meeting them where they are, and together working to create goals and create a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs. I also help individuals manage daily stress, relationship issues, and grief by weaving in techniques from CBT, DBT, as well as EMDR, while building life, and coping skills.

Hello, I am so glad you are here! Life can be overwhelming at any stage and challenges we face can make this even more difficult. It can be hard to know where to start to make changes or where to turn to for help. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LCAC) based in Indiana. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University and Master's from Indiana University and have been practicing for more than twenty years. I provide that listening ear that so many of us need. It is my goal to help those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or other mood disorders increase their understanding of these emotions as well as how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected in order to empower you to live your best life.
