I am a therapist focused making changes and feeling better. People seek out therapy for all sorts of reasons but everyone wants something in their life to be different. I like to help people understand why they are stuck and help them get unstuck. It's my goal to help people by being a witness to their pain and shining a light to help them move forward.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I enjoy allowing people to speak. Often when we sign up for therapy (myself included), it is because we have a pressing issue that is causing enormous pain. I like giving space for the client to help me understand what brought them to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think that people generally like talking with me. I am able to be personable and I acknowledge that therapy can be hard.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

The goal of this method is to help the client better understand the source of their thoughts and feelings through the lens of experiences that were traumatic and to help them reframe those thoughts and feelings without the lens of trauma.

Strength-Based

In my training as a social worker, I primarily rely on focusing on a person's strengths in order to help them find their path forward. Everyone has strengths and they can be useful to identify in order to create opportunities for growth.

Couples Counseling

I really enjoy working with couples in order to help them improve their communication, better understand underlying issues and create safety for all involved. I think there is synergy in relationships and people have the capacity for greatest healing when they seek out help with a loved one.
