I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and improve their mental well-being. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, and I work with clients to build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and support meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand your current concerns, background, and what you hope to gain from counseling. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what feels most important to you. Together, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how we can work collaboratively to support your growth and well-being. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel heard and understood from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe being open and honest about their experiences. I take a collaborative and strengths-based approach, helping clients recognize their existing resilience while building practical coping skills for everyday life. I focus on providing compassionate support while also helping clients gain insight, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop strategies that lead to meaningful and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are seeking support as they navigate life challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions. I work well with clients who want to better understand their thoughts and emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change in their lives. Whether someone is new to therapy or returning for additional support, I strive to meet clients where they are and work collaboratively toward their personal goals in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies. I work collaboratively with clients to build practical skills such as cognitive restructuring, problem-solving, and behavioral activation so they can manage symptoms and improve daily functioning. I tailor CBT interventions to each client’s needs and focus on helping them apply these skills outside of sessions to create lasting change.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore and strengthen their motivation for change in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. This approach focuses on meeting clients where they are and helping them identify their own reasons for making positive changes. In my practice, I use MI techniques such as open-ended questions, reflective listening, and goal exploration to help clients resolve ambivalence and build confidence in their ability to move forward. This approach is particularly helpful for clients working through behavioral changes, life transitions, and developing healthier coping strategies.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive environment. This approach combines cognitive and behavioral strategies to help individuals understand how trauma impacts thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I help clients develop coping skills, regulate emotions, and gradually process traumatic memories while building a stronger sense of safety and resilience. I tailor TF-CBT interventions to each client’s needs and pace, focusing on empowerment and helping clients regain control over their lives.

Supportive

I use supportive therapy to provide a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. This approach focuses on strengthening a client’s existing coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and providing encouragement during difficult times. In my practice, I use active listening, validation, and collaborative problem-solving to help clients feel supported while working toward their personal goals and improving overall emotional well-being.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. Rather than focusing only on problems, this approach highlights what is already working in a client’s life and uses those strengths to support growth and change. In my practice, I collaborate with clients to identify their values, skills, and successes, helping them develop confidence and practical strategies to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
