Even strong, successful couples can struggle behind closed doors. Stress, busy schedules, communication breakdowns, unresolved hurt, intimacy challenges, parenting demands, and career pressures can slowly create distance in a relationship that once felt effortless. I work with couples who want more than just fewer arguments — they want to feel connected, understood, desired, and supported again. Together, we work to improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional and physical intimacy, and create healthier ways of navigating conflict and partnership. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Sex Therapist with 17 years of experience, I help couples strengthen both their relationship and their connection so they can build a marriage that feels secure, passionate, and sustainable long-term.

I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I have specialized training in various evidence-based treatments for trauma such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others. We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

I’m a therapist who helps you remember who you are beneath the self-doubt, survival patterns, and old stories. My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we reconnect with the parts of ourselves we’ve had to hide or silence—especially the inner child. I work at the intersection of self-worth, spirituality, and soul-aligned growth, supporting clients in finding clarity, confidence, and deeper meaning. I specialize in working with those who feel like they’ve spent a lifetime holding it all together while feeling unseen or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are navigating transitions—whether it’s stepping into adulthood, breaking generational cycles, leaving behind people-pleasing, or exploring who they are beyond roles and expectations. If you’ve ever felt like you're constantly performing, second-guessing yourself, or longing to feel safe in your truth, you’re not alone. In our work together, I draw from evidence-based therapies like Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and somatic practices, while also incorporating space for spiritual exploration, ancestral healing, and intuitive insight. I honor each client’s cultural, emotional, and energetic experiences and believe in co-creating a space where all parts of you are welcome. This is more than just symptom management—it’s about coming home to yourself. I’m here to walk with you as you reclaim your voice, reconnect with your purpose, and live more fully in alignment with who you truly are—mind, body, and spirit.

Is emotional upheaval getting in the way of moving forward with your life? I would love the opportunity to help you to sort through the sources of the emotions, help to make them more manageable, and help you to regain some sense of direction and progress for your life. Working toward more refined beliefs and understanding about emotions, circumstances, and responses to them can be helpful. In my roughly 30 years as a psychologist I have mostly worked with people who have problems with anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, relationship problems, and aging issues. I have worked with ages ranging from elementary school to 70s and a little older. I have found that experience allows me to realize client needs more quickly than in my early years in practice, and hope to use this experience to your benefit. Note that online scheduling is limited, and my practice schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 6pm, and Wednesday from 12pm to 5pm. If you need assistance with scheduling, please contact me via the Grow Therapy messaging platform. I typically respond to messages during regular business hours. My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia. I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with experience helping individuals reconnect with themselves and create more intentional, balanced lives. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, whether that’s in relationships, life transitions, or their own internal dialogue. Many clients enter into therapy feeling uncertain, disconnected, or weighed down by stress, anxiety, or unresolved experiences. Through our work together, clients begin to feel more grounded, more clear, and more in control of their lives. They learn how to set boundaries without guilt, manage their emotions with confidence, and show up in their relationships in a way that feels more authentic and aligned. My clients often leave therapy with a stronger sense of self, a deeper understanding of their needs, and the ability to move through life with greater peace, clarity, and intention.

Hi, I’m Keira, a therapist for women who are tired of overthinking, feeling stuck, and carrying everything on their own. You might be high-functioning in your day-to-day life, but internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. Maybe you’ve tried to “figure it out” on your own, but keep running into the same patterns. I specialize in insight-oriented therapy—helping you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why. Together, we’ll look at the deeper patterns shaping your thoughts, relationships, and emotions so you can create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll help you see things from new angles, challenge what’s not working, and support you in building a stronger, more grounded sense of self. I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection and interested in understanding themselves on a deeper level. If you’re looking for a space to explore, gain insight, and make lasting changes, we’ll likely be a good fit.

Hello, I am Shaqueena. Are you tired of being tired? Do you feel that no one understands your situation or that no one can relate? Are you unsure if therapy is right for you? If you are here, then that means that you are ready and motivated to make some changes in your life. Seeking help can sometimes be tough, which is why I believe that we all experience things in our life that goes beyond our ability to cope and when that happens we need a little more assistance. As a licensed professional counselor, my ultimate goal is to first normalize seeking assistance by decreasing the stigma on mental health. In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it. My preference for treatment is to utilize a trauma-informed approach in addition to CBT, EMDR and Choice/Reality Therapy.

I believe each person is an individual that cannot be put into a 'fits all' box. I believe a commitment with patience over time can lead to significant growth and understanding of oneself. Mindfulness, Carl Jung's Shadow Work as well as Negative Core Beliefs can lead to changes that offer a completely new way of living and thriving. I also have experience with the LGBT+ community. A therapist in my experience adds a level of effectiveness having done therapy ourselves and I have put a lot of time and effort on the other side of the therapeutic relationship. It has allowed me a strong level of empathy and understanding of what clients go through when in therapy. Substance Abuse is an area I also have experience with.

HI! My name is Mary Beth Ridderman. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. In addition to my state licensure, I have earned credentials as a National Certified Counselor, Certified Sand Tray Therapist. Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Qualified LMHC Supervisor, Certified Clinical Military Counselor, Certified Life Coach, Board Certified Tele-mental Health Counselor, Certified Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Therapist, and a Social Investigator. I am proud to be a member of Chi Sigma Iota, an International Academic and Professional Counseling Honor Society. I have over twenty years' experience working with families as a child advocate with the court system and I currently provide social investigations and assist individuals involved in contentious divorce or visitation issues. Perhaps my most rewarding experience was seven years’ providing individual and group counseling in a shelter for survivors of domestic violence. My specialties are working with individuals who have symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, anger, traumatic brain injury, or who are experiencing family issues. Clients find that I genuinely like people from all walks of life, I am non-judgmental, and I am an excellent listener. Research supports, and I believe, that a strong client-counselor relationship is the most important part of the counseling experience and creating that bond is my goal. I look forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and working with you to achieve your personal goals. Mary Beth

Hi, I’m Akemi. Welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves helping people over 30 navigate the messy middle of life- those seasons of transition, anxiety, and self-doubt that can leave you feeling stuck or unsure of your next steps. My passion is helping you sort through those feelings, rebuild confidence, and move forward with clarity and hope. For clients who want to bring faith into the process, I also provide Christian counseling, blending biblical truth with practical, evidence-based therapy. Whether your faith is the foundation of your life or just one piece of your journey, we’ll incorporate it in a way that feels authentic to you. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a brain nerd. I enjoy teaching clients what’s happening in their mind and body, why it can feel so hard to break old habits, how subconscious thoughts drive behavior, and practical ways to retrain the nervous system. (Geeky? Yes. Helpful? Absolutely.) My style is warm, encouraging, and goal-focused. I’ll meet you right where you are with compassion, honesty, and this is the "judgement free zone", like Planet Fitness! Outside of the therapy room, I’ve authored two books, 15 Minute Journal Prompts for the Postpartum Mom and Mindful Mandalas for Moms and I’m currently working on my third book. While I don’t specialize in treating bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, or substance use disorders, I’m always happy to refer clients to trusted colleagues who do. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: therapy should feel like a safe, uplifting space where you can be yourself, work through what’s weighing on you, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on that journey. Akemi McGoogan, MSW, LCSW

My name is Janet Muta and I am a Licensed Clinician with over 17 years of experience in mental health, behavioral issues and relationships. I treat individuals from diverse backgrounds. My approach is treating the whole person because most of the time our problems are the outcome of more than just one thing and when I get to know you I am able to address different issues that could be contributing to that one specific problem. We all experience some difficulties in our lives sometimes and we all cope differently. What works for one person/couple who are experiencing a similar situation may not work for another and so I personalize your treatment to fit you. Being in therapy is like being on a journey, I make sure you are in the driver’s seat and I become your great working GPS, guiding you to your desired destination. I also hold a degree in finance which sometimes comes handy when helping those who are stressed due to financial needs. Among the treatment modalities I use are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Positive Parenting, Contingency Management...
