New to Grow
My name is Ayana Green, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals achieve emotional well-being and personal growth. I am dedicated to supporting clients as they navigate life’s challenges through a comprehensive, whole-person approach to care. I strive to create an environment in which clients feel comfortable examining their thought processes and using our sessions to develop a cognitive framework that promotes insight, resilience, and a more positive outlook on their circumstances.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. Using a trauma-informed and cognitive-behavioral approach, I will take time to understand your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, and what has brought you to therapy. We will explore how your experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, while always moving at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful to you. Together, we will identify your goals and collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan designed to support healing, build coping skills, and promote meaningful, lasting change throughout the therapeutic process.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My clinical experience includes working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges across diverse treatment settings. One of my greatest strengths lies in my ability to seamlessly integrate comprehensive clinical assessment with effective, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. I have a strong passion for crisis intervention and stabilization, while also providing ongoing therapeutic support tailored to each client’s needs. My primary therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy to address concerns related to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and caregiving. I pride myself on being an attentive listener and on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable fully engaging in the therapeutic process.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are teenagers and adults who may be navigating challenges related to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, or the demands of caregiving. With a strong foundation in crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and therapeutic treatment, I am equipped to meet clients where they are in their healing journey. If you are seeking a safe, supportive space to address life’s challenges and are committed to working toward meaningful personal growth and therapeutic goals, we may be a good fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have adopted CBT as the primary treatment modality to address symptoms related to depression, anxiety, stress, caregiving challenges and trauma. Its evidence- based practices provides an effective framework to assess client's progress and adjust treatment practices as needed. Furthermore, it provides a foundation to help client's identify their symptoms and focus on changing their cognitive processes which will contribute to positive results.
Psychoeducation
I have incorporated Psychoeducational therapeutic practices into treatment as it goes hand in hand with other clinical practices to provide information and skills to help clients understand and recognize their mental health condition.
