LMFT, 8 years of experience
***Now offering hours up to MIDNIGHT!*** Accepting new clients and wide range of appointment times outside normal business hours! I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients between outpatient clinic work, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and everything between! In my free time I read and play video games, hang out with my pet ducks (Curly Fry and Goldilocks von Marshmallow) or my dog Morticia. I’ve learned many ways of coping with anxiety and depression, stress from home or work, along with many other issues. I work with a lot of couples who struggle with communication, infidelity, and a host of other problems that can come up at any stage in your lives together. I may not be your typical therapist who is warm and fuzzy, but I’m down to earth and connect with nearly every client I meet. I will give any client a shot. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
In our first session, I start off with getting to know you. I want to hear about where you grew up, where you live now, what you do for a living, and more about what brought you into therapy. I learn about what you've tried to do to help your situation and how you cope with problems. We're not going to get into a lot of heavy therapeutic things as it can be anxiety inducing to just talk with a new therapist and feel them out.
The presenting problems I’ve worked with the most include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, family and couple issues, and communication issues.
I generally work best with late teens (16 and up) and adults into geriatric clients. I work with a significant number of couples.

Peggy was very warm and open. She asked a lot of questions to get to know me. She seems very genuine in her desire to help.

Thank you for listening to me and being open and understanding. I’ve struggled to find a therapist I felt comfy with and from the beginning I felt super comfortable being vulnerable from the jump. Welcome to this crazy escapade I call my life. I look forward to next time

Peggy is a great therapist and has been incredibly helpful to my partner and I. Unfortunately there were 3-4 appointments that she cancelled an hour to an hour and a half ahead of time and I found that to be very disruptive to the therapeutic process.
Our responses to situations are led by our thoughts and emotions many times. We can take introspective approach at slowing down our responses and examining our thoughts and feelings to change our actions and behaviors.
