Hello, My name is Oshena, but many call me Shena. I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I have over 5 years of mental health experience. My experience consists of working in case management, hospice - bereavement- grief counseling, dialysis, mental health field, inpatient psychiatric facility, outpatient mental health services, mobile response crisis counselor, group therapy, adolescent therapy, and substance use counselor.
I am deeply passionate about working with a wide range of individuals, including young adults, older adults, older teens, and adults, to help them navigate the everyday challenges that life presents. These challenges often manifest as societal pressures and the need to conform, which can result in lower self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. My approach is rooted in harnessing an individual's identified strengths and empowering them to overcome life's hurdles. These obstacles may include anxiety, depression, grief, self-doubt, anger management, boundary-setting, communication issues in relationships, burnout, and the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.
My favorite metaphor is based on a rubber band. "Like people, rubber bands come in different shapes, sizes, textures, lengths and flexibility. If you stretch a rubber band to the max it typically bounces back into shape due to elasticity." Based on this, I firmly believe in starting where you are to work on breaking down those walls of narrow thinking to bounce back with your elasticity to positive thinking and push towards resilience.
Having faith in yourself marks the initial stride, by seeking guidance, you've already embarked on the next leg of your journey. You hold the resilience needed to conquer the challenges you've encountered, even if it feels daunting. In the realm of therapy, my guiding principle is to embrace the process of healing and personal development with an open heart. I'm here to support you on this journey.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS! That is the key!! With 26 years of experience, much research, studying, and face to face experience living and working all over the world, I realized relationships with yourself and with others can make or break our contentment in life! But there are skills to learn to make it happen, skills such as self-awareness, ability to pay attention to the world around us and our own bodies (mindfulness), learning to grieve and let go while embracing change, learning the characteristics of a healthy relationship with others and with ourselves, and accessing our strengths while focusing on the beauty in life. I'd love to walk with you through this process to restore hope.

Hello my name is Christian. I have been a therapist for almost 19 years now. I began this journey because of my own upbringing and experiences throughout my life. I have had my own personal array of issues with mental health and addiction within my family and friends. My life was once a mess and now I love my life, and I am mostly a very happy and fulfilled man. The only way that this happened for me was through therapy and being heard and seen by others. I love to help other people find their own peace of mind and happiness.

Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.
Hi! I'm Eileen.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues? Since the onslaught of Covid 19, many people have presented with anxiety and depression who have never had symptoms in the past. We have experienced a time of uncertainty unknown to us. I empower clients of all ages to manage anxiety and depression, as well as provide tools to help. Some of my modalities include Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychotherapy. An integrated approach can be used as well. I have been described as a good, caring, sensitive, and energetic listener. I love being a therapist and enjoy seeing my clients grow over time due to putting in the necessary work.
I have a background in Strategic Intervention Life Coaching and integrate the methods I used successfully in my Life Coaching business into my therapy sessions with my clients in helping them to clarify their goals, identify obstacles holding them back, and then along with the client, help them come up with strategies for overcoming the obstacles.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with YOU!!
