New to Grow
I believe that everyone has a story to tell and that everyone has the right to tell their story. You deserve to be heard and understood in the ways that are best for you. Through a collaborative approach, we'll sit together and unravel the thoughts, hurt, and experiences that make you, you. At the end of the day, therapy is about you and your best interest coming to fruition while being in a safe, non-judgmental space. I'm excited to work with you and see the growth that can happen. When you're ready, please feel free to reach out.
In our first session, we'll build rapport and create a space where it feels comfortable to talk about the uncomfortable. We'll get to know each other and we'll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get from it. There will be a lot of validation and moments of giving you the flowers that you deserve. I also like to provide psychoeducation and engage in brainstorming so that you can leave the session feeling that you're in safe hands, and that you have a plan.
One of my biggest strengths is my flexibility in being able to provide clients with what they're looking for. I'll be your biggest supporter, and, I'll be there to challenge you when it's needed.
I love working with clients who lean into a collaborative approach. I can offer support through my education and experience, but you are the expert on you. Together, let's create a unique approach that best suits you and where you're at in life, as well as where you want to be. Although it may not always feel like it, you are the driver on your journey, and I would love to be the passenger who provides you with support.
Other specialties
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I have various experiences using a Person-centered approach in helping clients develop greater self-awareness, build confidence, and navigate life's challenges with a stronger sense of direction. We'll use person-centered therapy to create a supportive space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without concern of judgment. We'll then use the insights you gain to deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen your identity, and help you lead a more authentic and fulfilling life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
It can be difficult trying to quiet our thoughts, especially those unfavorable ones. Even more so, our thoughts and feelings can be very influential on our behaviors and how we go about our day-to-day. My approach with CBT incorporates mindfulness, solution-focused, and reframing techniques so that we're able to challenge our negative beliefs, and live a life more aligned with our wants.
