One of my favorite life mantras is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Thus, I enjoy helping others embrace their power. One of the most impactful ways to do that is a change in thought process. It has such a significant influence on the way we react and the type of emotions we feel. At times, facing life's challenges can be difficult. Fortunately, you do not have to do it alone. I'll walk on the journey with you, offering a safe environment that encourages exploration and growth. If you'd like to know if I'd be a good fit on your personal journey, please feel invited to reach out!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During intake, we’ll have a discussion of the counseling process and my approach. I also discuss privacy and limits of confidentiality, along with my licensure status and credentials. Background information on various areas, including presenting concerns, are assessed. My approach is co-created with you to use either traditional (i.e., cognitive) or "bottom-up" processing (i.e., sensations and feelings). In your first session, we'll explore which approach works best for you.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Although my primary way of helping others address their mental wellbeing is through a cognitive and behavioral approach, I believe integrating techniques catered to the individual is essential for change. Additionally, I believe our mental health is interconnected with our physical and spiritual well-being. Therefore, my focus is to help others align those elements for improved overall health.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My passion is rooted in working with individuals who may find themselves faced with challenges such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, as well as racial trauma. Additionally, I enjoy working with clients within the BIPOC community to help address and decrease the stigma and barriers associated with receiving mental health treatment.
