I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 34 years of professional experience providing psychotherapy services. I speak English and Spanish. I provide my clients with a unique approach, helping them to identify and achieve specific therapy goals in a confidential, empathetic, and trusting atmosphere. I help individuals understand their current circumstances in order to make changes that will have lasting positive effects. I use an Insight approach, where I help, a better understanding of themselves, which leads to “individualized solutions”. My treatment approach is short-term, problem-oriented therapy sustained by my psychoanalytic background i. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral, psycho-educational, and humanistic modalities, as well as evidence-based techniques. I strive to create a balance within my therapeutic approach based on my client’s particular needs and preferences. I have had the honor to serve a diversity of individuals and their families in a variety of settings, such as community mental health, crisis helplines, and outpatient programs (in a hospital setting). This was the first step. This is a safe space where you can create a vision for your life, along with an action plan and strategies for how to achieve your goals once you have identified them. I will support you and encourage you to find your ambition and desire and ways to realize your possibilities.
Hi, I'm Carolyn Dower, LCSW, LISW with 36 years experience working with adults, teens, and couples to find inner peace, better health, happier relationships, and more fulfilling work.
Would you like to understand yourself better so that you can feel better and get more of what you want in life? I help with the range of problems that people can have -- depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, spiritual conflicts, and relationship problems -- or whatever is troubling you. I don't see couples with Domestic Violence issues because I don't have experience in that area.
We'll begin by listening deeply to your thoughts, feelings, and needs as you are comfortable sharing them. Together we can find solutions to your problems. We may choose to learn some simple and effective relaxation methods, empowering communication skills, and techniques to heal childhood hurts. All of this works together for good self esteem, good energy, and a good life.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and how we might work together. Hoping to meet you soon!

I am licensed in Florida with more than 20 years of professional work experience. I have been employed with the same community agency for more than 20 years (yeah I'm not a quiter). I have extensive experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, anger management, domestic violence, criminal justice issues, relationship issues, and parenting issues. I am a firm believer that you are the expert of your story! You have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you and collectively WE will identify them and utilized them in achieving ones goal! By taking the first step to sign up for therapy, it takes courage and for that I am proud of you for getting started!
Hi, I'm Taylor. I'm so glad you're here. It’s no small thing making the decision to sign up to talk to a stranger about the overwhelming and very often draining circumstances that you’re in. I want to highlight how much being on this site, and looking through profiles is such a significant step toward your mental health goals.
Anxiety and improving self image are at the core of my work. I focus on helping clients develop flexible thinking and self-compassion — practical tools that help you step away from self-criticism and patterns that keep life feeling heavy. The goal of this work isn't about becoming a perfect version of yourself. It's about learning to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, confidence, and self-understanding.
I’m a warm, compassionate therapist who believes you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. I became a therapist because I’ve seen how anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and the pressure to meet everyone else’s expectations can impact how we see ourselves and move through life.
My own experiences, along with my professional background, have shaped the way I connect with clients. I understand that sometimes being the “strong one” can become exhausting, and that setting boundaries or putting yourself first can bring up a lot of guilt.
In therapy, I want you to feel comfortable being your whole self without judgment. I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach, meeting you where you are and helping you develop tools and insight that feel realistic for your life. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin creating a life that feels more balanced and authentic to you.
Hey, My name is Ariel,

Together, we can work toward greater balance, healing, and confidence as you move forward in your journey. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you.

My name is Michael Hutchinson - though I go by Hutch - and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2012, and actively practicing with individuals, couples, and groups since 2018. At the core of my practice is a constructivist approach, treating individuals as experts on themselves as we work to apply the theories of change I endorse to create meaningful/ values-congruent improvements wherever indicated. In my individual work I aim to scaffold skills, concepts, and techniques to ensure that distress is resolved and change is promoted across any number of domains of life. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Texas and Florida) I’ve worked with Individuals, Couples, Families of various sizes, with a plethora of sessions on parenting. Nearly 20 years later, it is still a privilege to work with individuals, couples in various stages or phases of their relationship and families of all sizes.
I’m often looking for "the funny" in the moment and the world around me. I greatly enjoy sarcasm, snark, and satire. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy".
I daydream of going on cruises with my wife, occasionally think about bringing our children along. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movies. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter.
Clinically, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy, with attributes of Narrative, Structural and/or Strategic.
*** I do not provide animal support letters or ESA documentation, disability-related paperwork, and fit for work evaluation documentation. Additionally, court-mandated evaluations, divorce or custody agreement related paperwork would be out of the scope of my practice, therefore is not something I engage in at this time.
It's okay not to be OK sometimes, to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or even depressed. Still, these feelings can make it difficult to maintain healthy relationships and to feel like the best version of ourselves. The good news is that you're not alone, and seeking help is an important step, which I commend you for taking! I want you to know I am here to support you as a caring and trained professional.

Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison.
It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking.
One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them?” Let’s start today to solve some of life’s problems and to begin to grasp peace, happiness, love and success.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Pennsylvania with a Master's in Social Work from Howard University. For the past 12 years, I have been providing mental health services in various clinical settings to a diverse client panel. For all individuals, I believe it is critical to look at the whole person, considering the mind-body connection and their environment when engaging in therapeutic services. I practice from a strengths-based perspective to rally the inner resourceful champion within us all. I aim to assist clients with reaching their goals by providing a safe, non-judgmental place to talk about fears, concerns, and barriers that may interfere with their quality of life.
Often the biggest obstacles lie within, and my goal is to enable you to free yourself from problematic thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that you may strive for your ideal version of yourself.
Personally and professionally, I pride myself on my rapport with everyone that I encounter. I have genuine and unconditional respect and patience for others. Welcome! I know how hard it can be to reach out for support. If you're here, I want you to know that you're not alone and you don't have to figure everything out by yourself. I'm someone who believes in the power of feeling seen, heard, and understood. I believe that therapy should feel like a real conversation where you can breathe, think, and be real, not a clinical checklist. I believe you deserve a space where you don't have to pretend, perform, or be "put together". Therapy with me is about helping you feel safe enough to be your real, unfiltered self. The parts that feel strong and the parts that feel messy. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida and for over 6 years I've helped adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. A lot of the people that I work with are tired of wearing masks- the "strong one", the "fun one", the "reliable one". Underneath, they feel overwhelmed, anxious, numb, or disconnected from who they used to be. I help create a space where you can take those masks off without fear. You don't have to know the right words. You don't have to have everything figured out. You just have to show up as you are. Together, we'll work through what you're carrying and build tools that feel realistic and fit your real life. If you're tired of pretending and ready for a space where you can just be real, I'd love to support you.
If you are looking for someone with more than 26 years of treatment experience to include inpatient and outpatient settings, multiple treatment techniques/modalities, substance abuse/chemical dependency/drug court, trauma, forensic settings, Baker Acts/suicide/self-harm, sex offender treatment, personality disorders, LGBT issues and child/adolescent behavior modification over 8 different companies/institutions, you will have the comfort and reassurance of having an experienced therapist/counselor at your side.
I hope the best for you on your journey and would invite you to consider venturing down your path with me as your trail partner. No need to walk it alone!
My career started as a classroom teacher and school counselor. I currently have over 20 years of experience working with students and families. In addition to my school counseling career, I am a crisis clinician in a major hospital in the DFW metroplex and work in over 32 emergency rooms providing on-call patient care. We all face unexpected challenges which sometimes leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. I believe that we have the ability to make healthy and appropriate choices regardless of the circumstances in which we may find ourselves. My role as a therapist is to assist and support clients as they learn new ways of coping and adjusting to life’s challenges. Counseling will vary depending upon one’s personality, stage of life, strengths or particular concern. Getting started can feel overwhelming. You have no idea where to even begin. You’ve been putting off therapy because you’re afraid it won’t help. More than anything you’d like to be able to feel happy again. You’d like to be able to put yourself out there more and to create deeper, more meaningful relationships with others. You want to have the courage to be your authentic self without hiding behind a mask.
