I’m a resilient therapist from the Caribbean who knows what it’s like to face challenges and start over. My personal journey has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to navigate change, adapt, and heal while carrying your story with you. With years of experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions, I help clients make sense of their experiences and find balance and self-understanding. I create a space where you can show up as you are seen, heard, and supported and work with you to build real, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, we’ll start by getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. I’ll ask questions to get a sense of your experiences, goals, and what’s most important to you right now. We’ll also talk about how we might work together, what approaches might help, and what a typical session looks like. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a sense of clarity about the next steps in your journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I help clients feel truly seen and understood, even when exploring life’s toughest challenges. With resilience, empathy, and years of experience, I guide people through anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, and major life transitions while helping them uncover what drives their feelings and behaviors and build real, lasting change. My approach is practical, compassionate, and tailored to each person, so growth feels possible and manageable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with people who are tired of just “getting by.” The ones who look fine on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in the same patterns underneath. You might overthink everything, struggle to set boundaries, feel too much, or sometimes nothing at all and not fully understand why. In our work together, we go deeper than surface-level coping. We make sense of what’s really driving your reactions, heal what’s been sitting underneath for a long time, and help you feel more in control of yourself and your life. If you’re ready to be honest with yourself even if it feels uncomfortable and want real change, not just quick fixes, we’ll work well together.

My treatment methods

EMDR

In my practice, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a structured, client-centered approach to help you process and heal from distressing experiences. I begin by building safety and trust, helping you develop grounding and coping skills so you feel stable before we process anything difficult. When you’re ready, we identify specific memories or triggers you’d like to work on, and I guide you through bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) while you briefly focus on those experiences. I support you throughout the process, helping your brain reprocess the memory so it feels less intense and no longer holds the same emotional weight. I move at your pace, regularly checking in to ensure you feel safe, supported, and in control, and we always end sessions with grounding to help you leave feeling regulated.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand and work with the different “parts” of yourself—like the part that feels anxious, the part that shuts down, or the part that tries to stay in control. Instead of seeing these parts as problems, we approach them with curiosity and compassion. I help you identify and connect with these parts, understand their roles, and explore what they may be protecting or needing. Through this process, you can build a stronger connection to your core Self the calm, grounded part of you and begin to heal underlying wounds while creating more balance internally.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and explore how they may be impacting how you feel and respond to situations. I guide you in learning practical skills to challenge and reframe those thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, and make changes in behavior that support your goals. This approach is collaborative, structured, and focused on helping you build tools you can use in your everyday life.

Grief Therapy

I use Grief Therapy to support you through the emotional, physical, and relational impact of loss. I provide a safe space for you to process your feelings at your own pace, whether that includes sadness, anger, confusion, or even moments of numbness. Together, we explore ways to honor your loss, make meaning of your experience, and gradually adjust to life while staying connected to what matters most to you. I also help you build coping strategies so you can move through grief with support rather than feeling alone in it.

Sex Therapy

I use Integrated Sex Therapy to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore concerns related to intimacy, relationships, and sexual well-being. We talk openly about your experiences, values, and goals, while addressing any emotional, psychological, or relational factors that may be impacting your sex life. I provide education, communication tools, and practical strategies to help you feel more confident, connected, and aligned with your needs, always at your pace and within your comfort level.
