Maybe you already know the pattern.
You know you need better boundaries, but you still feel guilty when you say no. You know the relationship isn't good for you, but you keep getting pulled back in. You know you don't have to be perfect, yet one mistake can send you into hours of overthinking. You can understand exactly where your reactions come from—and still feel unable to change them.
Sometimes insight isn't the problem. You already know. But your nervous system hasn't gotten the message.
That's where our work can go deeper.
I specialize in EMDR therapy and work with adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, difficult relationships, grief, and experiences from the past that continue to show up in the present. Rather than only asking, “How do I stop doing this?” we can become curious about another question: “What taught me that I needed to do this in the first place?”
EMDR can help us work with experiences and beliefs that continue to carry an emotional charge—even when you logically know you're safe, capable, worthy, or allowed to make a different choice.
Therapy with me is active and collaborative. I'll support you, but I'll also challenge you to notice the patterns that keep you stuck. You are the expert on your life; my role is to help you understand what's happening beneath the surface, build trust in yourself, and begin responding to your life from where you are now rather than from what you've had to survive before.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Psychology from Lehigh University in 2003 and graduated from Columbia University in 2007 with a Master of Science in Social Work.
I started Endurance Counseling, my private practice, in 2023 after working as a pediatric transplant social worker at Levine Children's Hospital since 2019. I specialize in health/illness, medical education, medical/social trauma, anxiety/depression, chronic pain/disability, grief/bereavement, and loss. I trained in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Columbia Presbyterian Children's Hospital in NYC and was subsequently hired to work there in Pediatric Oncology with patients diagnosed with Leukemia and Lymphoma. I worked at Columbia for 5 years before transitioning to working in Adult Oncology at NYU Langone Health for the following 5 years. While at NYU, I primarily cared for patients diagnosed with Gynecologic cancers and Neurological cancers such as neuroblastoma and glioblastoma. Some of my focus included patients with hematological cancers, breast cancer, lung cancer and carcinomas such as prostate cancer. I have extensive experience facilitating support groups for patients at various stages of illness and treatment specifically diagnosed with ovarian, endometrial, cervical cancer and breast cancer.
I am a thoughtful, sensitive, empathic, collaborative, and hard-working clinician who genuinely cares and strives to make a difference in the well-being of each of my patients.
My passion is working with children and families impacted by medical issues and chronic pain. I have extensive experience working in hospital settings providing a range of supportive services to patients diagnosed with acute and chronic medical conditions.

When you begin therapy with me, you’ll feel like you’re talking to a close friend with a wealth of clinical knowledge. Open, friendly, warm, caring - these are just a few of the ways my friends, family members, and clients describe my personality. In sessions with me, you’ll feel free of judgment as we discuss some of the struggles that brought you here.
Most importantly, I’ll help you understand some of your own tendencies so that we can identify thought patterns and behaviors that you’d like to change. During this process, you'll feel encouraged and supported, and will feel motivated in new ways.
Are days bringing you more than you can deal with? Are Life adjustments causing you to feel something is emotionally off or challenging? Let's work together at getting you happy and healthy in as brief a time frame as possible. Hi! I am a heterosexual cisgender woman, and my husband and I have a high school aged son. I'm originally from St. Louis, Missouri but I have lived in Florida for 35 years and I consider it my home.
I think of myself as a girl-next-door therapist. New clients often tell me I'm easy to talk to and that they feel better after the first session. I like to use humor whenever possible. My approach is gentle and humble. I'll never go beyond your comfort level of discussion. Your session with me is where you can spew your thoughts, cry, talk about yourself and even the thoughts you have that would be offensive to others. I have had clients say things about their life or people in their lives that would not be acceptable in most settings, and being able to talk about it is often very freeing.
