New to Grow
I have over 10 years of experience working in mental health, and I have been in private practice for the last 5. I have spent the majority of my counseling career in community mental health, which has given me the skills to meet people where they are at, and to be able to work with a diverse client population. I have extensive training in the treatment of Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, anxiety disorders, phobias, eating disorders, and trauma/PTSD. I'm certified in EMDR, CBT, and integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities when working with clients. I grew up in the northeast, in a small town in rural Vermont. My family decided to relocate to southeast Georgia in 2023, and since then I have been providing telehealth therapy to clients throughout Georgia and Florida. I enjoy spending free time with my two children, my husband, and close friends and family. I enjoy being active and being outdoors as much as possible.
The first few sessions with me will be spent getting to know each other. I will want to learn about what brings you to therapy, why now, and what you would like to get out of our time together. As we get to know one another, we can mutually decide if it's a good therapeutic fit, and whether or not we want to continue working together.
My therapeutic style can be described as warm, open and non-judgmental. I firmly believe you are the expert in your own life, and I cannot tell you what to do. I can help to guide you towards different ways of looking at things, and I can help you take steps towards making meaningful change. I'm here to help you work through challenges in life, transitions, problems in relationships and anything else you are experiencing that is leaving you feeling stuck.
I work best with individuals who are navigating transition or change and come to sessions with some topics they are ready to discuss. This could be anyone who is working on relationship challenges, career changes, welcoming a new baby, adoption, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression, parenting challenges, divorce, challenging family dynamics, or anything else that comes up throughout the many phases of life.
