New to Grow
Hi, I’m Heather. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and life’s stress, emotional challenges, or transitions can be hard to navigate on your own. I bring a compassionate and collaborative style to therapy. Clients describe me as attentive, warm, and genuinely present — someone who listens without judgment and meets you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, honor your strengths, and create meaningful steps toward change. We’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on insights and tools that help you feel more balanced, confident, and grounded over time.
In our first session, you can expect a calm, open conversation where you are truly heard. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what feels most important to you right now, and what hope or change looks like for you moving forward. You’ll leave with clarity around next steps and a sense of connection, support, and direction. Over time, many people notice they feel more capable of managing stress, more hopeful about their future, and more resilient in everyday life.
I have over thirty years of experience providing counseling services to adults, children, and families with a wide range of needs across agency and educational settings. I am licensed in the state of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). What sets my work apart is a compassionate, collaborative approach that meets you where you are. I draw from my experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across educational, community, and private settings to provide care that is thoughtful, flexible, and tailored to your unique needs and strengths.
I enjoy working with children or adults who are dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, relationship concerns, or issues within their home and school environments. I draw from my experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across educational, community, and private settings to provide care that is thoughtful, flexible, and tailored to your unique needs and strengths. My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood — no matter where you are in your journey.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice, while always keeping your unique experiences, needs, and goals at the center of our work together. Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and in our first session we will take time to gently explore what brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and any concerns or questions you may have about the process.
