I am a therapist who values the courage it takes to seek help and take the first step toward working on yourself. I understand that life can become overwhelming, and that responsibilities, personal experiences, cultural background, education, or simply being in survival mode can sometimes get in the way of prioritizing your emotional well-being. Therefore, I offer a space where people can slow down, better understand the patterns behind what they feel, and learn how to navigate life with more clarity, emotional balance, and self-understanding rather than constantly feeling like they are just trying to survive through it.
As a mental health professional for over twenty-five years, I am dedicated to helping clients explore options and strategies so that they may live a healthier and happier life. As a result of those experiences, I witnessed and truly believe mental health and addiction recovery is possible. As we each experience our life’s journey, the good, bad, and ugly, we continue to learn and grow along the way. Many journeys will include troubled times resulting in anxiety, mood disorders, grief, loss, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, addictions and other challenges along the way. But most will also include exciting and positive times such as graduations, college, marriage, career advancements, births, relocations, new homes, new friends, and many more. Although positive, adjustment to these experiences may also result in a need for support during the transition.
As a Social Worker, my approach will focus on the whole individual to identify other factors contributing to the current problem. This will include past and current relationships, health issues, work, living and social environments.

Hi there, I am Charly.
As a clinical therapist, I admire your willingness to seek therapy support. I want to offer understanding, and empathic emotional support to assist anyone experiencing emotional distress.
Most people tend to suffer silently in their heads, or minds, due to conscious or subconscious, self-blame, shame, or guilt feelings as they seem to feel helpless. Individuals experiencing acute emotional distress due to mental health conditions often fail to realize that unresolved, deep internal pain or heartache is silently triggering their emotional distress.
One school of talk therapy called, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), proposes that the lack of the capacity for "Psychological Flexibility" and our brain's default, or Survival Mode functioning the instinctual responses of "Flight or Flight," as required for human survival.
As, your therapist, I am willing to support you in exploring your difficulty or distress and examine the mental barriers or psychological blinders causing you to feel internally conflicted and stuck. Some of my past and current clients tell me that "my ability to relate to them with an open mind and withholding personal judgment and a solution-focused perspective," helps them to feel at ease and connect with me and my style of therapy.
I follow an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from academic learning, experiential knowledge, and over 30 years of practicing experience using evidence-based treatment modalities based on scientific literature and up-to-date neuroscience research. I have training and experience in the following major treatment modalities such as CBT, REBT, SFBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and specifically to deal with trauma, a newer form of Rapid Eye Movement Therapy (Accelerated Resolution Therapy).

Open, friendly, warm, caring - these are just a few of the ways my friends, family members, and clients describe my personality. In sessions with me, you’ll feel free of judgment as we discuss some of the struggles that brought you here.
Most importantly, I’ll help you understand some of your own tendencies so that we can identify thought patterns and behaviors that you’d like to change. During this process, you'll feel encouraged and supported, and will feel motivated in new ways.

My name is Ashley and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked in a variety of settings: psychiatric inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, residential, outpatient, and in corrections. In all of these different settings I have met people where they are at and these experiences have shaped my counseling style. I greatly enjoy my work and helping others and I have seen people through all different walks of life for the last 11 years. I create a safe space and meet people where they are at. I believe that counseling is individualized and I work with clients on not just surviving but learning how to thrive. My goal is to help clients identify growth opportunities, overcome what may be holding them back, and to empower them to be able to take back control of their thoughts, actions, and lives.
