Hello, I'm Katerin Chavez, LMHC, dedicated to providing compassionate mental health support. With a focus on helping individuals navigate life's challenges, I offer a safe space for clients to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies. I understand that seeking help can be daunting, which is why I prioritize building trust and rapport with each person I meet. Whether you're facing anxiety, stress, relationship issues, trauma, depression, domestic violence, women's issues, or immigration concerns/traumas, I'm here to guide you through your journey towards healing and self-discovery. I speak both English and Spanish.
Trained as a psychologist (Ph.D. from Cornell University). Some 20 years later I earned a second graduate degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. I am a fully licensed therapist in the State of Florida.
I have taught psychology at Princeton, Tulane, Cornell, and Harvard Medical School.
We will spend most of our time creating solutions, instead of analyzing problems. So often, therapy gets bogged down in the endless exploration of problems. Problems are the results of behaviors that didn't work for you in the past. Solutions flow from changes that will work for you starting right now. Solutions make your life better. They bring joy and peace to your life.
I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience working with diverse individuals in the community, private practice, and residential substance abuse treatment. Never in a million years did I ever think providing counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups, would be the career to captivate my heart….but it is! My specialties are working with clients who may be suffering from traumatic incidents, substance abuse, various forms of anxiety (PTSD, stress disorders), depression, self-esteem, and gender identity.
Making the decision to receive any form of mental health counseling can be taxing, however, the results are often positive and rewarding. Learning to face your fears in a healthy and appropriate manner is a sign of growth and maturity. It is not an easy task. You will cry, laugh, and maybe feel a little uncomfortable at times. This is just the therapeutic process working to make you emotionally stronger.
*Please note that my preference for treatment sessions are individual and group therapy. However, I do provide a limited number of couples or family therapy sessions for special circumstances.

Hi! I'm Dorian.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work.
I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it.
Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth.
Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families—adolescents and adults—on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, parenting challenges, postpartum anxiety, trauma, abuse, and navigating life transitions.
Whether your concerns feel mild or overwhelming, therapy can help you gain clarity, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to identify the sources of stress in your life and to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I’m Dr. Maria Mejia, a licensed therapist who works with individuals who feel overwhelmed by life, stress, and the constant pressure to “hold it all together.” Many of the clients I support are millennial parents and young adults who are navigating major life transitions while trying not to lose themselves in the process.
My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, holistic approach that honors the mind, body, and nervous system. I believe symptoms like anxiety, burnout, emotional exhaustion, or feeling disconnected are not personal failures—they’re signals that something within you needs care, support, and understanding.
I specialize in helping millennial parents manage stress, identity shifts, and emotional overload while parenting in a fast-paced, demanding world. I also work closely with young adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to navigate adulthood, relationships, and expectations.
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported—while also gaining tools to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you build a life that feels more aligned, sustainable, and authentic.
I am a caring, knowledgeable, and well-trained therapist who truly enjoys working with clients. If you are willing to partner we can achieve the results you are looking for. I am educated in individual, couple, and family therapy. I am also certified to treat addictions, both substance (drugs and alcohol) and process addictions, such as work, shopping, relationship addiction, and the like.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional with private practice and outpatient setting experience. I am also a certified Reiki Healer Levels I and II. I have spent several years supporting professionals in their career development and have a passion for professional coaching with the use of Motivational Interviewing techniques. My experience is in helping clients who lack purpose, experience stress and anxiety, relationship issues, low motivation, low self-esteem and challenges with confidence, as well as career difficulties.
I am a professional woman of color and have navigated through the dynamics of the corporate world. In my own experience, I have learned to heavily lean on more holistic approaches that have resulted in long-term changes in my view of the world and in the way I approach life's challenges. One of the biggest takeaways from our work together will hopefully be the understanding and acceptance that life's journey comes with "peaks and valleys" and how we respond to these will greatly influence our perspective of the self and how we show up for others and to the world we live in.
I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming your challenges. My goal is to ensure that we deeply explore your values and those strengths and help you recognize them to then identify your desires from counseling and work to that end. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process!

Hello! My name is Lynnette Montañez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist and 12 years working with children and and families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and sexual abuse, substance abuse, parenting problems, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder, with a special focus in adoption and foster care issues.
Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in a variety of community counseling settings. I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me and I have gotten a pretty good sense of where the types of counseling that play to my strengths as a counselor overlap with the types of counseling that are helpful for my clients. This sense (along with learning about lots and lots of research into what helps people find and maintain mental health) has led to the following guiding principles that shape all the counseling I do:
1) The client is always in charge. I know a lot of things but you will always be the one who decides what you want to get out of counseling, how we work towards that goal, whether or not what we’re doing seems to be working, and when we’re done.
2) Change and health happen through relationships. No matter what you come in for, there are always relational implications of change and relational factors that contribute to whatever it is that you came to counseling to change.
3) Counseling should be efficient. Counseling has significant costs in time and money. I think the benefits far outweigh the costs but if I can give you the benefits while helping you save on the costs then I want to do that.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic techniques to help clients build practical tools, increase emotional insight, and create meaningful change. I believe healing is about growing into a healthier version of yourself while remaining connected to your authentic identity and values.
I understand how overwhelming life can feel when you are carrying challenges alone or do not yet have the tools to navigate them. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and capable of moving forward with greater confidence, balance, and self-understanding.
What would it feel like to be heard, to know that you are valued and cared about and to believe that there is real hope for your future? Are you struggling, anxious, grieving, overwhelmed? You are not alone. Life is really hard right now. You deserve self care and support. Difficult and painful experiences can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others. As both a Wisconsin and Florida licensed mental health counselor (LPC, LMHC), I offer you a safe place to talk about and explore all those concerns.
