Having gone through a tragic life altering experience at a young age, I know what it’s like to feel lost and hopeless about the future. When I was 21 I suffered a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed and wheelchair-bound. Through my journey of recovery I learned firsthand, just how much our thoughts and emotions can become our biggest obstacles in life.

I am a Florida DCF Approved Provider (Florida Family Court requires divorcing/separating couples with minor children to complete a DCF approved parenting class before finalizing their divorce). At Family Solutions Counseling, my practice is faith-based. My faith and life experiences are why I chose to become a Counselor. I also approach client concerns from a Solution-focused perspective. We all possess strengths and resources that can be used to attain personal growth and overcome life's challenges. Each person is doing the best they can considering the context they live in and the relationships that exist in their lives. My job is not to judge but to build a level of trust, provide support, encourage the client to feel safe in expressing symptoms, and help find solutions.
