Hi, I’m Jonathan Beer, a Doctor of Socia work (DSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida since 2017. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping adults work through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and life transitions. I use approaches like EMDR and CBT to help clients process difficult experiences and find healthier ways of moving forward.
I also enjoy working with couples who want to strengthen their connection. Using Imago Relationship Therapy dialogue, I help partners improve communication, feel truly heard, and build a stronger foundation for their relationship.
At the heart of my work, I believe therapy is about creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your challenges, discover new insights, and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

I am passionate about guiding you on a transformative journey towards emotional well-being by understanding how you operate and issues you may have developed from your experiences. As well as understanding the people around you and their issues and how they operate. Also by learning how to best care for yourself by setting boundaries enabling you to establish stronger, more connected relationships with the people in your life.
My mission is to create a nurturing, safe space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their inner worlds and discover the power to heal, grow, and thrive as individuals and within their relationships.
I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved.
I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be.
My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go.

In my PhD-level clinical work, I use Bowen Family Systems Therapy as a diagnostic and relational framework, while integrating trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and attachment-based approaches to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family. I'm a Solution-Focused Brief Therapy clinician who has been practicing for over 20 years. Making medical decisions, coping with compassion fatigue related to caregiver stress, anticipatory grief, and facing eventual loss. All this can be overwhelming. You don't have to navigate those experiences alone.
*PLEASE NOTE: All NEW client intake paperwork is required to be completed AND submitted no later than 24 hours prior to our appointment or we will need to reschedule. Thank You.
