New to Grow
Hi, I’m Kristy, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating, awkward, or overly serious all the time. I work with young adults navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and fertility-related struggles, helping them feel more like themselves again while learning practical tools to manage life’s heavier moments. My approach is warm, honest, supportive, and down-to-earth — creating a space where clients can process difficult emotions, laugh when needed, and feel genuinely understood along the way.
Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they can feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. During the first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, explore your goals, and begin getting a better understanding of your experiences, challenges, and strengths at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and leave with a sense of direction and hope moving forward.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to help clients feel both emotionally supported and actively challenged toward growth. I focus on helping clients better understand themselves, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop realistic strategies they can apply in everyday life. Clients often appreciate that sessions can hold space for difficult conversations while still feeling approachable, relatable, and encouraging.
I work with clients of all ages, though I most commonly work with young adults between the ages of 20–40 navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, grief, and fertility-related concerns. I am best positioned to support clients who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about how to move forward during difficult seasons of life. My goal is to help clients build coping skills, process their experiences in a supportive space, and feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping skills and patterns. I have experience using CBT with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, and stress-related challenges. My approach is warm, supportive, and individualized, helping clients feel empowered while building practical tools they can use in their everyday lives.
