I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in school, healthcare, and community-based settings, currently working as a District Mental Health Provider, where I provide counseling, treatment planning, and collaborative support for students and families. I primarily serve adolescents, young adults, women, veterans, and older adults navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment concerns. My clinical approach integrates CBT, DBT-informed strategies, strength-based, and solution-focused interventions to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical tools for meaningful, lasting change and improved overall well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment in our first session, where building rapport and establishing trust are my top priorities. I focus on finding common ground and creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. Together, we will explore your concerns, identify your strengths, and begin to clarify your treatment goals. I work collaboratively with clients to develop clear, realistic outcomes and a plan that supports meaningful progress, ensuring care is tailored to your unique needs and overall life circumstances.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is my ability to build collaborative, empathetic, and strengths-based therapeutic relationships that foster trust, safety, and meaningful engagement. With over 20 years of experience across school, healthcare, community, and veteran settings, I am skilled at working with diverse populations and partnering closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care. I take a whole-person approach, looking at all aspects of my clients’ lives to better understand their needs and effectively collaborate with them in achieving their goals. I combine clinical expertise in CBT and DBT-informed strategies with a strong client-centered and solution-focused approach, helping individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to develop practical coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create lasting, positive change in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adolescents, high school students, and young adults, particularly those navigating life transitions such as moving from high school into adulthood, developing independence, and managing academic, social, or emotional challenges. I also work well with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, and adjustment difficulties, using a collaborative and goal-oriented approach. In addition, I have a strong interest in supporting women’s issues, including identity development, life transitions, parenting challenges, and emotional well-being. I am also passionate about working with veterans, given my personal connection to the veteran community, and I am attuned to the unique stressors, adjustment needs, and mental health concerns they may face. I am also interested in working with older adults over 60, supporting their needs related to life transitions, aging, health changes, grief, and maintaining quality of life and emotional well-being. Overall, I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated for growth, seeking practical coping skills, and open to a supportive, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapeutic process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my clinical practice, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and life challenges. My approach is client-centered, strength-based, and focused on creating meaningful, lasting change through achievable goals and skill development.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my clinical practice, I use DBT-informed strategies to help clients improve emotional regulation, manage distress, and strengthen interpersonal relationships. I incorporate techniques such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to support clients in developing healthier coping skills and responding more effectively to challenging situations. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and focused on helping clients build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.

Strength-Based

In my clinical practice, I use a strength-based approach to help clients recognize and build upon their existing strengths, resilience, and personal abilities. I work collaboratively with clients to identify successful coping strategies, increase self-confidence, and empower them to make positive changes. My approach focuses on fostering growth, enhancing problem-solving skills, and supporting clients in achieving meaningful and sustainable goals.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my clinical practice, I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify their goals, strengths, and existing resources to create practical steps toward change. I focus on what is working, highlight past successes, and support clients in building on those experiences to move forward. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and centered on helping clients create realistic, achievable solutions in a brief and effective manner.
