I’m a trauma-informed, compassionate therapist who believes healing happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and safe. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can explore what’s holding you back while also receiving practical, achievable tools that lead to real and lasting change. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 18 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I’ve worked across a wide range of clinical settings, which allows me to meet clients where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs and goals. My work includes participation in Family Programs and co-facilitation of trauma intensives such as A Hero’s Journey and The Path to Healing. I have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Pia Mellody’s Post Induction Therapy (PIT), supporting clients with Complex Trauma, Childhood Trauma, PTSD, and unresolved grief and loss. I also specialize in stress, mood disorders, co-occurring disorders, personality patterns, attachment and intimacy issues, and addictions of all kinds. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in helping you move forward—not stay stuck in therapy. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship and a genuine commitment to your healing. If you’re looking for a therapist who combines compassion with clarity and direction, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a chance for us to begin where you are. I work at a pace that feels right for you—whether that means moving gently or taking more focused steps forward. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy and begin identifying your goals so our work feels intentional and supportive. There will also be time for you to ask questions and share your expectations. Simply showing up is a meaningful first step. I invite you to come as you are and allow this space to be one of safety, curiosity, and connection. Together, we’ll determine if this feels like the right fit as we begin your healing journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I help clients heal emotional wounds, create meaningful change, and restore hope, not just gain insight. My work is grounded, trauma-informed, and focused on helping you move forward in ways that feel safe, sustainable, and empowering. I specialize in anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, depression, addictions of all kinds, and chronic stress. Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood while also gaining practical tools that lead to real relief and lasting shifts. I honor your nervous system, your pace, and your unique story. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I don’t believe in keeping clients stuck in therapy. I believe in thoughtful, intentional work that improves your quality of life. At the heart of my approach is a steady commitment to helping you feel more grounded, more connected, and more hopeful, within yourself and your life
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who are ready to face life’s challenges with courage, curiosity, and a desire for meaningful change. You may be struggling with anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, depression, stress, or addictions, and you’re looking for more than just insight—you want relief, clarity, and real progress. You might feel stuck in patterns that keep you from fully enjoying life, relationships, or yourself. You are ready to understand your past without being defined by it and to learn tools that help you feel grounded, safe, and empowered in your present. My clients are open to doing intentional, trauma-informed work—they want therapy that honors their pace, meets them where they are, and helps them move forward without being stuck in endless talk. If you want to heal old wounds, restore hope, and reclaim your life, you’ll feel supported, seen, and guided in this work.
Trauma Informed Care
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 18+ years helping clients heal PTSD, childhood trauma, grief, and co-occurring challenges. I use a trauma-informed approach to help you understand patterns, create lasting change, and feel more grounded and empowered. Trained in EMDR and Pia Mellody’s Post Induction Therapy (PIT), I also co-facilitate trauma intensives like A Hero’s Journey and The Path to Healing. My work is compassionate, practical, and focused on real results, honoring your pace and your unique story.
EMDR
EMDR is a safe, proven way to heal trauma without reliving it. Using gentle bilateral stimulation, your brain reprocesses painful memories so they no longer hold power over you. I guide you through this trauma-informed process, helping your nervous system release distress and restore calm.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use IFS and inner child work to help you connect with your core Self and heal past wounds. By giving your inner parts a safe, compassionate space, we release stuck emotions, reduce self-criticism, and restore balance, safety, and empowerment. This trauma-informed approach helps you move forward with clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact after a traumatic experience. Trauma can create distorted beliefs, intense emotions, or coping strategies that no longer serve you. Through TF-CBT, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, build healthier thinking, and develop practical skills to manage emotions and responses. This trauma-informed approach helps you feel more grounded, in control, and capable of moving forward.
