I currently work with Veterans, some active duty, reserves, and national guard, primarily in the areas of combat and/or military sexual trauma. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. I believe that while the path may be rocky, it can also be fun. I use humor and engaging activities to support a strong therapeutic relationship. My first goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and other emotional/psychological challenges. I focus on building upon client strengths and helping develop effective interpersonal skills. I believe in a collaborative approach to problem-identification and problem-solving.

Dennis Konadu is a veteran of the US Army, and a dually licensed provider (LICSW and LADC). Dennis has 18 years of experience treating people with mental health disorders and specializes in substance use. Dennis graduated with his Masters in Social Work from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 2007 and has been practicing ever since. Currently, Dennis is in the process of completing a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology (PsyD) from Rivier University in New Hampshire. Xavier Fullerton, affectionately known as “X,” is a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Rehabilitative Counseling. He is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over eight years of experience across a range of clinical settings. In September 2024, Xavier transitioned out of managed care to pursue a more intentional path in mental health. By December 2024, he launched his private practice, Just Therapy PLLC, with a mission rooted in addressing men’s issues—particularly the emotional intelligence and well-being of Black men. Xavier’s therapeutic philosophy prioritizes people over diagnoses. He focuses on creating affirming, culturally attuned spaces where shared experiences lead to healing, self-awareness, and feeling truly seen.

Dr. Arthur’s practice specializes in treating individuals and families with a variety of disorders and life struggles. His main clinical focus is on depression/anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, severe mental health, and coming of age issues. He is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional – Level 2 and is intensity trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He is also a Trained Military Assistance Provider. In addition, Dr. Arthur has also received training in Exposure with Response Prevention (ExRP) for the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder. Moreover, he has also provided continuing education units to other mental health professionals.
