I am a licensed therapist in Florida and Connecticut specializing in supporting seniors, older adults, and medically complex patients navigating chronic illness, health changes, grief, anxiety, and major life transitions. My work centers on helping individuals who have spent a lifetime “pushing through” finally have a space where they can slow down, feel understood, and receive steady emotional support.
My background includes extensive experience with chronic illness, medical trauma, caregiver stress, mobility changes, and the emotional impact of aging. Whether you’re adjusting to a new diagnosis, grieving a partner, managing multiple medical conditions, or feeling overwhelmed by life changes, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
My approach is warm, grounding, and practical. I blend trauma informed care with real world strategies to help you reduce anxiety, manage stress, cope with grief, and regain a sense of control. I meet you exactly where you are, emotionally, physically, and medically. We move at a pace that respects your energy and capacity.
I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where your experiences are honored and your voice matters. Together, we’ll work toward steadiness, clarity, and a renewed sense of meaning in this chapter of life.

Getting to know people, hearing their stories, and understanding what matters to them is a big part of who I am and what I do. I work with individuals and families navigating addiction, PTSD, and the many challenges that can come alongside them. I believe every person's situation is different, which is why I take the time to build genuine relationships, understand their individual needs, and learn what they're going through. My goal is to be someone they can trust, connect them with the right resources and support, and help them navigate the road ahead. To me, it's about seeing the person beyond their circumstances and making sure they know they don't have to figure everything out alone.
Hi there! I'm Dorian.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work.
I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it.
Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth.
Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.

But most will also include exciting and positive times such as graduations, college, marriage, career advancements, births, relocations, new homes, new friends, and many more. Although positive, adjustment to these experiences may also result in a need for support during the transition.

My goal is to help clients find hope, joy and peace. They will achieve this by learning to view problems differently and using healthy coping skills to make changes and adjust to a new normal.
