LMHC, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Bilingual licensed mental health counselor focused on providing support through the different transitions and challenges of life. I am specialized in the treatment of substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, and family/peer relationships. I provide services to children, adolescents, adults, and individuals in the LGBTQ community. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to explore the changes necessary to live a fulfilling life.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, discuss any expectations you have for the process, and review your personal history to help me better understand your unique experiences. Together, we’ll also consider what the length of treatment might look like based on your needs. This first meeting is a chance for us to start building a comfortable, collaborative space where you can feel heard and supported. Most importantly, there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable.
My approach to therapy is client-centered, meeting individuals and families exactly where they are. I draw on evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care, to create a plan that fits each client’s unique needs and goals. Sessions are held in a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, explore your challenges, and discover the support and strategies that help you move forward.
I work best with clients who are ready to explore, grow, and take an active role in their own journey. My ideal client is curious about themselves, open to learning, and willing to make changes that can move them toward the life they want. You might be navigating a big life transition, facing important decisions, working through relationship challenges, or simply wanting to understand yourself on a deeper level. In our work together, you’ll find a safe, supportive space where your goals guide the process and your strengths lead the way toward lasting change.
I have completed trainings in CBT, providing clients with psychoeducation about mental health, cognitive restructuring, gaining insight into thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, which in return identifies unhelpful thoughts and patterns.
I use motivational interviewing to help clients identify goals, resolve ambivalence and strengthen their own motivation and commitment to change
I help client's process traumatic experiences in a structured, supportive way while building skills to manage distress and move toward healing
I provide a space for clients to heal and grow by giving them the safety, empathy, and acceptance they need to explore who they are without fear of judgment.
