I have a prior career before becoming a therapist, working about 12 years overseas. My approach blends practical tools with thoughtful conversation, helping you better understand what you’re experiencing while also building strategies you can use in everyday life. I have successfully worked with adults from many backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and religious faiths. I have experience treating clients struggling with a wide variety of mental health conditions and stressors including, but not limited to, anxiety/PTSD, and depression. I am trained in many clinical skills such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and EFT to name a few. My ministry experience and training allow me to integrate faith easily into therapy whenever clients believe it will be most beneficial.
Call me Ben! I've been in private practice for 5 years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I'm a big advocate for mindfulness (and ACT) and how it can be used alongside and incorporated into the therapeutic relationship to make tremendous strides in addressing one's mental health. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, I own a record store where I also work, and love a good gaming session with my friends.
Hello, I'm Allison. I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been in private practice since 2018. I previously worked in dual diagnosis treatment centers for addiction/ mental health for seven years. I help individuals, couples and families improve communication, rebuild connection, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. Many times clients who contact me have no experience in therapy, but just know that their life is not satisfying or something is off. That's enough by the way! Anything and everything can be discussed in therapy. I have frequently been told I'm easy to open up to, and clients often feel relieved that I am more directive than a therapist who listens without guidance. I enjoy cheering on my clients' wins, but also being there for the hard moments, and genuinely love what I do.
Finding relief and reconnecting with a sense of peace is more achievable than it might feel right now—and once you start, the process of change often unfolds more quickly than you expect.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters from Florida Gulf Coast University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I see all adults, but in particular I focus on folks that are dealing with life changes such as struggling with a new or changing diagnosis, reclaiming your identity, grief, or depression and anxiety. I want you to know that the time we spend together is for YOU, so it will be focused on what you want to talk about. Therapy can be hard work but I'd like to make it easier on you. Let's work together!
I work with adults who are navigating depression, relationship struggles, substance use and co-occurring disorders, complicated family dynamics, academic or career stress, life transitions, and the impact of trauma. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to meet you where you are and create a space that feels supportive, steady, and real.
In our work together, I bring curiosity, reflection, and a bit of humor into the room. I draw from approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness, and I tailor our sessions to what feels most helpful for you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we’ll figure out what works best—together.
I aim to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck, make room for difficult emotions, and practice being a little kinder to yourself along the way. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overly clinical—it can be thoughtful, engaging, and even relieving.
Clients often describe me as both compassionate and direct. You don’t have to do this alone. I’d be honored to be on your team as we take it one step at a time.
I obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, and I spent the last six years working as a professional counselor with children, adolescents, young adults, middle aged adults, older adults, couples and families on a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, social anxiety, eating disorders, career counseling, parenting, relationship issues/poor communication, etc.
I am a marriage and family therapist and I help people overcome childhood trauma. I have worked with several clients who have experienced relationship, work related and family issues. The way I help them is by (1) Going to the root cause of the issue, (2) Giving them the tools so they don't repeat it and (3) Teach them how to be courageous enough to choose themselves. Meet Caprice Smith, LCSW
Caprice Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Essence & Grace Development Center, LLC. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, she has over seven years of experience helping adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, clinical excellence, and faith.
Her passion for mental health was born from growing up in a community where emotional struggles were often overlooked and seeking therapy was uncommon. Those experiences, combined with her Christian faith, inspired her to create a practice where individuals can find hope, healing, and practical tools to overcome life's difficulties.
Caprice believes that true healing addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions using evidence-based therapies while thoughtfully integrating biblical principles into the counseling process for clients who desire faith-based care.
Through Essence & Grace Development Center, her mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients, especially minorities and people of color, feel seen, heard, and valued. She is committed to helping individuals develop emotional resilience, strengthen healthy relationships, discover their God-given identity, and become the healthiest version of themselves.
Whether clients are seeking emotional healing, spiritual growth, or practical coping strategies, Caprice considers it a privilege to walk alongside them on their journey toward lasting hope, healing, and transformation.

I have worked with a variety of clients over the last 9 years. I received my master's in counseling in 2015 and worked with adolescents for 7 years.

Unresolved trauma need not interrupt your life and your personal relationships. I specialize in working with first responders and veterans. I use a multi-model approach to fit each client's style and needs. I specialize in Client Centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
The mind's only job is to protect the body, our fear inducing thoughts that keep us in a constant state of alarm serve a purpose. Together we will question the mind's beliefs and start to sort the beliefs that serve us in the goals that we have established.
I am a licensed clinical therapist working to help people overcome emotional issues, fears, and challenges in their lives. BROKEN CRAYONS STILL COLOR! And I am living proof of that! Trauma, mistakes, bad decisions, regrets....none of it defines who we TRULY are inside. These experiences help us to grow stronger and learn more about ourselves in the long run. Growth and healing is what it's all about.
Hi! I'm Sabrina. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of working with children, adults, and families. I bring that experience to the therapy room. I have a high emotional intelligence, and I believe that EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION is a SUPERPOWER!!
I'm an advocate for family preservation and women's empowerment. Women play central roles in nurturing families and strengthening communities. However, they can lose themselves while caring for others. I love to help women prioritize their own self-care needs to help them be the best version of themselves when they show up for others. Let me remind you of who you are!
I especially enjoy working with teenagers and helping to bridge the communication gap within the family unit that often shows up as children get older. I am Christian and I have a wealth of experience with African American families and am LGBTQ+ friendly.
I offer a solution focused approach to therapy. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy empowers clients to own their abilities in solving life’s problems and recognize their strengths. Rather than traditional psychotherapy that focuses on how a problem was derived, SFT allows for a goal-oriented focus to problem-solving.
I am available in the late afternoons/evenings, and I am accepting new clients.

Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, faced recent trauma, or have feelings of depression; my services are aimed to introduce coping skills, and self-motivation. Most have asked their self, is counseling for me. If you have ever called a friend or family member in time of need, you will ease right into therapy.
My mission is to create a confidential and safe space, while improving the lives of my clients. I strive to provide the best possible therapy by continually updating my knowledge and skills, as new research and techniques in mental health come available.
My style is explorational, affirmative and always respectful of where you’ve come from and the goals you’d like to meet in the coming days. We’ll explore your life experiences--and seek to add understanding and self-compassion. I am a Board-Certified Fellow in the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress licensed in Massachusetts, Oregon and Florida, and I have earned two Masters degrees--my second Masters is in Counseling Psychology.
