In my years of professional experience, I have found that Depressive and Anxiety Disorders are managed best using Psychotherapy. Whereas many clients may find it helpful to include Antidepressant/Antianxiety medications, it has been my experience that medications alone are less effective and are often supported by Counseling Intervention with a Professional Counselor.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience with a wide range in many areas including substance abuse, mental health, grief counseling and couples counsel. My therapy style is very interactive, compassionate and warm. My therapeutic modalities vary on the client, no one person is the same. Some of the modalities used are Client-Centered, Motivational Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, CBT , Solution Focused Therapy and Psychotherapy. I believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect and will meet you where you are. I strive to create a warm and open environment and have found being interactive allows an individual or couple to be comfortable with talking and engaging. Listening as a therapist is an extremely important skill as well as being able to communicate effectively. My journey as a therapist began with a deep fascination for the human mind and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people's lives after growing up in the foster care system. I previously served in the Air Force, serving my country. I have a bachelor's in dietetics and nutrition with years of nutrition counseling as well. Over the years, I have honed my skills, gaining experience in various therapeutic techniques and approaches to better serve my clients.
