I'm passionate about helping adults navigate life's challenges while creating space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can be honest about what's going on and start making meaningful changes. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs and believe therapy should leave you with both insight and practical tools you can use in everyday life. I am Haitian American and speak Haitian Creole. My faith is an important part of who I am and has shaped my values of compassion, grace, and service. At the same time, I welcome and affirm people from all backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and walks of life. Outside of therapy, I enjoy music, spending time with my dogs, traveling, and connecting with family and friends. My goal is to help clients feel supported, empowered, and confident as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. During our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and get a better understanding of what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I'll ask questions to learn more about your background, current concerns, and goals, but there's no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels right for you. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether we're a good fit. By the end of our time together, we'll begin identifying goals and discussing how we can work together to support your growth and well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often describe me as warm, easy to talk to, and genuinely invested in their growth. I strive to create a space where people feel safe enough to be honest about what's really going on without fear of judgment. I balance compassion with practical support. While I provide validation and understanding, I also help clients recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck and work toward meaningful change. I believe therapy should be more than just talking about problems—it should provide tools, insight, and support that clients can carry into their daily lives. My goal is to meet clients where they are while helping them build the confidence, skills, and self-awareness needed to navigate life's challenges and create lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with adults 18 and older who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or emotionally exhausted from carrying so much on their own. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or self-esteem concerns. I also work with individuals facing a variety of other emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Whether you're dealing with a specific concern or simply feeling like something isn't working, I provide a supportive space to explore what's going on, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change. My goal is to help clients gain greater clarity, confidence, balance, and overall well-being.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Rather than focusing on eliminating discomfort, ACT teaches clients how to make room for challenging feelings while taking meaningful action aligned with their values. In my practice, I incorporate mindfulness, acceptance strategies, and values-based goal setting to help clients build psychological flexibility, reduce avoidance, and create lasting change. ACT is especially helpful for anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life transitions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of the approaches I use most often in my practice. I help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be keeping them stuck or contributing to distress. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative self-talk, and develop practical coping skills that can be applied in everyday life. I often use CBT to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and life transitions, helping them create lasting changes that feel realistic and manageable.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate DBT skills into my work with clients who struggle with overwhelming emotions, stress, relationship challenges, or difficulty coping with life's demands. I help clients build practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness so they can respond to challenges more confidently and effectively. My approach focuses on balancing acceptance and change, helping clients feel understood while also working toward meaningful growth and healthier ways of coping.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell themselves about who they are and what they have experienced. Together, we identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck and work to separate them from the problems they are facing. I help clients recognize their strengths, resilience, and values so they can develop a more empowering view of themselves. This approach can be especially helpful for those navigating trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns.

Trauma Informed Care

My work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that past experiences can have a significant impact on how people think, feel, and respond to the world around them. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. I consider the impact of trauma when developing treatment plans and focus on helping clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
