New to Grow
The “traditional office” approach is not one that I use. We have the option of meeting in an outdoor environment, in places like the beach or a park, if you are within the Palm Beach County area. And there is always the option to meet in a virtual office setting though Telehealth. I believe therapy can and should have a place in our everyday lives. I am trained in CBT, ACT, Mindfulness and trauma informed approaches.
In our first session, I love to hear from you! I love to ask questions about your current goals, past expenses and future hopes. We'll also talk about your goals in therapy and I will answer any questions I can about myself to help you feel comfortable!
As a child, lack of resources and medical needs gave me a passion for social work. I started my career in schools and and moved to medical settings during the COIVD-19 pandemic. I have worked with teens, adults of all ages, and families. I love a challenge and helping you find your voice to face your struggles. I ike to practice a balance between being a silent listener and bridging to opportunities to challenge your thinking to support your needs.
Having a background in schools, medical settings and outdoor/experiential therapy, I work best with those who are ready to get curious about themselves! I specialize in supporting folks who want to make sense of the conflicts that arise in their lives. I work best with those who are looking for grief support when navigating a loss or transition, wanting to understand their potential neurodivergent brain (think ADHD or other spectrum needs) or wanting to seek support in finding a way to create stronger boundaries and relationships in your life.
Other specialties
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to support your work in getting know your values to create awareness of steps you do or plan to do to support living an authentic life. This could mean mindfulness work, curiosity and deepening your awareness into your self and those around you to better understand your patterns of functioning and reaching as life continues to grow in its challenges.
Trauma Informed Care
Life continues to create situations in which we need to survive in order to reflect. Taking a trauma informed care perspective means I work to create a space for you to process any trauma experiences you may have had to experience, when you are ready, to create a path to repair the fractures and create a path to continue to thrive in your life.
