My name is David Patrick, LCSW. I have 14 years of experience dealing with a wide array of topics that bring people to therapy. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership. I see myself and my clients as friends on a journey of discovery about themselves. I do not lead, nor allow myself to be led, I believe we are equals. I listen intently and make suggestions and sometimes assign homework when appropriate. Remember, there are 168 hours in a typical week, and most people only see their therapist for one hour, leaving 167 hours outside the weekly session to practice and explore questions and see if the new results are present. I see us as equals and occasionally I will make suggestions, but ultimately this is a time of discovery for the individual and it is a privilege to walk alongside you on your journey.

Hello! I am an experienced, licensed psychologist who has helped many individuals, couples, and families to navigate various life transitions. I enjoy serving clients who are willing to assess their value systems to determine if their values are still consistent with who they want to be. To some extent, our personal styles are genetically determined. However, I also believe we base our values on early learning, whether that education was positive or not.
My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I use principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will help you shut down unhelpful distortions about yourself and provide personal coping strategies that will support problem-solving in your life. Narrative Therapy will help you identify your values and skills so that you can use them to confront current and future challenges. I also offer spiritual counseling if you are seeking to explore or solidify your spiritual beliefs. I am also a Certified Grief Therapist. I began my calling in mental health following my retirement from a 35 year career in education. I am a published author and I hold a master’s degree in American Studies, and I have earned the distinguished National Board Certification in English Education. I have taught in public and private schools, community colleges, and universities in both Florida and Eastern Europe. All these experiences have widened my understanding and make it easier to relate to a variety of people and cultures. It also makes it easy for me to connect with you.
I am a native Floridian, married for 44 years to a former University of South Florida professor, so I understand what it means to live life and overcome challenges in the Sunshine State. My heart is to support you wherever you are on your journey, ease your worries about the future, and give you practical tools to heal.

Looking for a new type of therapy? ART is a new treatment for phobia's and other trauma events and can be fun. Let's be real: Nobody signs up for therapy because they're dying to rehash their whole life story while staring at a ceiling fan. That's why I'm all about ART getting results without the heavy lift of traditional talk sessions. Here's the gist: we use bi-lateral movements and guided imagery to help your brain gently rewrite sticky memories. No? deep dives. No pressure. Just you, me, and your brain!
As a dedicated mental health professional, I specialize in providing tailored therapeutic services to young adult females navigating life's challenges. Drawing upon evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I collaborate with my clients to develop the skills and insights necessary for personal growth and healing.
