My name is Ericka and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through life’s most challenging seasons. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe exploring your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to help you gain clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is all about connection and understanding. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your history, strengths, and support system, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and comfortable. By the end of our first meeting, we’ll begin identifying goals and outlining a plan tailored to your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my approach apart is the balance of clinical expertise and genuine human connection. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches, and solution-focused techniques, while remaining flexible to meet each client where they are. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model; therapy with me is collaborative, empowering, and practical. Clients often share that they appreciate my warmth, directness, and ability to help them gain insight while also providing actionable tools for real-life change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adolescents and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and challenges with self-esteem or emotional regulation. I’m especially well-suited for individuals who may appear “high functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. If you’re seeking a therapist who will both validate your experience and gently challenge you toward growth, we may be a great fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my practice, where I use it to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I start by guiding clients to recognize automatic thoughts that influence their emotions. Through CBT, I empower clients to actively engage in their mental health journey, equipping them with tools for positive change and resilience.
