Unresolved trauma need not interrupt your life and your personal relationships. I specialize in working with first responders and veterans. I use a multi-model approach to fit each client's style and needs. I specialize in Client Centered, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. The mind's only job is to protect the body, our fear inducing thoughts that keep us in a constant state of alarm serve a purpose. Together we will question the mind's beliefs and start to sort the beliefs that serve us in the goals that we have established.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me to create a tailored plan for us to work through in the follow-up sessions. The mind's only job is to protect the body, our fear inducing thoughts that keep us in a constant state of alarm serve a purpose. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strengths is helping people define what they want, and follow through on moving forward. I find huge benefit in helping others develop an awareness of how childhood issues have affected and continue to affect one's family life. Resolving past childhood/family issues, leading to less anger and depression, greater self-esteem, security, and confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I find value in Faith based counseling, people with conservative values, trauma resolution. I find incredible satisfaction in working with first responders, helping them to find balance prioritizing recovery, rest and community to best support their own well being as they help others.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our beliefs and assumptions dictate the meanings we make of the world around us and are responsible for our suffering. Peace is facilitated through questioning and lovingly considering the supporting beliefs that are holding our suffering in place and finding the truth of what is so in our lives vs what we assume in our lives.

I so appreciate Liz hearing me out for the first session! She understands my background, religious beliefs, and immediately provided me with useful analogies to help me gain understanding. I am excited to work with her in the future.
