My training is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with additional expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, stress, and the complexities of relationships. Hi, I'm David Hobbs. I’ve been practicing as a licensed psychologist for more than 25 years, primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy as an effective tool to treat anxiety and depression. As these can be emotionally debilitating conditions, addressing these issues can improve one’s sense of well-being, and thus their lives in general, dramatically. For the past 5 years, I have incorporated spirituality into my treatment regimen, thus addressing that aspect of one's personality in relation to improving their overall sense of emotional well-being. I have recently authored a book, "God is Love, Revelations From Spiritually Transformative Experiences," to help enlighten others who have questions about God and spirituality, and incorporate these lessons into their everyday lives.
I want to know if you are tired of feeling anxious or depressed, you've tried, but nothing has helped, it just keeps spiraling? Do you feel confused and conflicted, maybe feeling like you need to change but have no idea how? Are you feeling stressed about a job, a relationship, not having a social life, or like you're functioning at a low level? Are you experiencing mood swings, in relapse mode, or struggling with post traumatic stress? Understanding that the situation isn't resolving on its own is already progress.
We walk part of your path together; I may be your guide but you are the driver. I take a holistic, solution-focused approach, focused on what you need in your life right now.
I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a modality that helps clients quickly make changes by accessing what lies beneath the thoughts and words, making changes in the emotional brain; by the end of the session, you feel empowered, happy, light-hearted.

Hello, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) in Florida. I obtained my Masters from Florida International University (FIU) and my Bachelors from Florida State University. I've been helping individuals and families for 14 years, and can help you restore or create your best life. If you'd like to regain footing but don't know where to start, let's work together you don't have to do it alone.
"Support for the woman who constantly cares for others. If you feel overwhelmed and stretched thin, I’m here to help you regain your balance and well-being."
My calling to this work comes from my own experience of holding everything in, carrying the weight of caring for others, and hiding my own exhaustion. For a long time, I understood what it meant to keep going even when I needed a break, to put others' needs before my own, and to believe I had to handle everything on my own.
Through my own growth and continued practice, I have learned the importance of self-care, self-compassion, and giving myself permission to slow down. I've learned that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, and that taking a break does not mean I'm falling behind. These experiences have deepened my passion for helping other women who find themselves caught in the same cycle of giving, doing, and carrying-while quietly putting their own needs last. I believe you can care deeply for the people you love without losing yourself in the process.
