In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions because I believe in creating a space where you feel comfortable to share your thoughts and feelings. I want to hear what you have to say, and I want to know how you truly feel about engaging in a therapeutic alliance. We will explore the specific challenges you're facing and then, we will create a plan of action so we can work through it in the following sessions.
I am fully aware that I am as human as you are, so there is no judgement here. I picked my career when I was 16 years old, and I honestly love what I do. I don't expect you to know how to navigate life and its challenges from the beginning, but I want you to see your strengths and potential, and of course, to learn from the situations that cause you trouble in the past to move forward. I want you to be present with me and move ahead at your own speed using CBT, SFBT, EFIT, and other tools even though sometimes it is hard to start over and to move forward.
I love working with people who has the need for change regardless of how cognizant they are from what to change or where to start. My clients are going through real life situations that sometimes get them stuck, depressed, or anxious of moving forward. I want to create a safe space for you in the session, render a listening ear and offer different ways of looking at situations, while also providing tools needed to make goal outcomes tangible.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past thirteen years. CBT helped clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and managed their anxiety, depression and stressful life situations. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
With this modality you hold the key to resolve the areas of concern that are affecting daily life. This is a brief treatment approach with the sole focus of helping you to return to their baseline of functioning. You are in control since you are the one who will be exerting change and are more knowledgeable on it. I will help you discover your potential and work on building a better future.
