Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Ricki Shain and I have a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University. I’ve been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 30 years in a variety of settings including private practice, residential treatment centers, partial hospitalization programs, inpatient psychiatric units, and non-profit agencies. I have also worked as a Behavioral Coach helping people with chronic medical issues make the behavioral changes necessary to improve their health. My clients were from a variety of ages and backgrounds; some were struggling with challenges and some were just looking to make a positive change in their lives. The individuals with whom I worked have found me to be empathetic, non-judgmental, and direct. I am task-oriented and take a practical, no-nonsense approach to tackling life's challenges. Clients respond well to my positive attitude, knowledge, and humor, and it would be my honor to share that with you. Congratulations on taking the first step towards a more fulfilling life. I understand it can be difficult to ask for help and begin to take steps toward change. My role is to guide and support you in building the skills and confidence necessary to live your best life. Your goals are the foundation of the work we do together. If you are not sure what they are, we can figure that out together. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, client-centered and strengths-based therapeutic styles. As every client is unique, using multiple styles offers me the opportunity to tailor your sessions to your needs. Whether you are seeking to address challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, medical problems, career choices, or relationship issues, or are just feeling stuck and want to change your life in a meaningful way, I would love to support you as you move forward. One of my favorite life mantras is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent". Thus, I enjoy helping others embrace their power. One of the most impactful ways to do that is a change in thought process. It has such a significant influence on the way we react and the type of emotions we feel. At times, facing life's challenges can be difficult. Fortunately, you do not have to do it alone. I'll walk on the journey with you, offering a safe environment we co-create that encourages exploration and growth. If you'd like to know if I'd be a good fit on your personal journey, please feel invited to reach out!

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki. Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

I’m passionate about walking with people as they navigate healing, growth, and self-discovery—especially those in communities that have often been overlooked or underserved. My journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a variety of roles: school teacher, parole officer, child protective services investigator, state benefits worker, and therapy aide for individuals with brain injuries. Each experience deepened my understanding of resilience, empathy, and the importance of community connection. In our work together, no concern is “too small.” This is your space to feel seen, heard, and supported as you sort through the things that matter most to you. I see therapy as a collaborative process—we’ll work together to explore your strengths, challenges, and goals, at a pace that feels right for you. My counseling style is flexible and eclectic, pulling from different therapeutic approaches to fit your needs. Whether we’re focusing on reflection, problem-solving, or new ways of coping, the goal is to create a plan that feels authentic and useful to you. Hi there! I'm Dorian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work. I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it. Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth. Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.
