Hello, I’m Patricia, a licensed mental health therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate emotional challenges and build lasting resilience. My practice is rooted in creating a safe, non‑judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, identify your goals, and take steps toward healing. I work with adults and adolescents who may be struggling with emotional regulation, sadness, anxiety, low self‑esteem, or other mental health concerns. My approach is collaborative — we will work together to identify your desires, clarify your priorities, and develop a tailored plan that supports your well‑being . .My Approach

I like to utilize homework, journaling, and worksheets as I feel therapy should be worked on all week and not just during the one time per week I am meeting with them.

Client‑centered therapy: I focus on your unique story, values, and goals. Evidence‑based practices: Drawing on counseling techniques that have been shown to help with mood, anxiety, and self‑esteem issues. Supportive and empowering: I aim to help you gain insight, build coping skills, and restore confidence. What to Expect In our sessions, we’ll explore what’s bringing you here, identify patterns, and set realistic, achievable goals. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply seeking personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Specializing in adult counseling, emotional regulation, and self‑esteem building

First session

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and then dive into the specific challenges bringing you to therapy. This will help me to create a specific plan for us to work through in our follow-up sessions.

Strengths

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my compassion, ability to listen, and commitment to providing a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. I believe my 22 years of experience as a mental health therapist are a significant asset to my clinical work. In addition to professional experience, I value the importance of life experience, which allows me to better understand and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. I am structured, punctual, dependable, and genuinely caring in my approach. Over the course of my career, I have developed a strong knowledge base and clinical skill set that enable me to effectively support clients as they navigate life's challenges. I believe the combination of professional expertise, personal insight, empathy, and consistency helps me build meaningful therapeutic relationships and foster positive outcomes for those I serve.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is ready to work, curious about their own internal processes, and open-minded about exploring how their past affects their present. They are proactive, show up on time, follow through on 'homework,' and bring a sense of humor or vulnerability to the session". They understand that therapy is a partnership, not a place for me to 'fix' them. They take personal responsibility for their growth and are willing to sit with discomfort to achieve change"

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT during my years as a mental health therapist to assist client's with changing their way of thinking, changing negative thinking to a more positive thinking. This allows the client to work on anxiety, depression, etc. with their homework as I feel therapy should continue through the week and not just the time of their session. CBT is used to work on a client's mental health through homework, role plays, discussion, and many other strategies.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This treatment approach is useful in assisting the client in becoming aware of how they respond to different emotions. I use it to teach the client to identify their emotions and work on using meditation, self-talk, etc. to decrease and better cope with these feelings.
