What would it feel like to be heard, to know that you are valued and cared about and to believe that there is real hope for your future? Are you struggling, anxious, grieving, overwhelmed? You are not alone. Life is really hard right now. You deserve self care and support. Difficult and painful experiences can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others. As a Florida licensed mental health counselor, I offer you a safe place to talk about and explore all those concerns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Together we will identify specific issues and needs to establish achievable goals. Working collaboratively throughout the counseling and coaching process, we will continuously evaluate your progress as you become stronger and more confident in all of your life decisions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

From me you can expect warmth, empathy, humor and the use of practical tools that you can start applying right away. I will bring to every session an earnest desire to facilitate your growth and healing and will walk alongside you so that you never feel alone. Many clients tell me they feel comfortable talking to me because I am not judgmental, and I really listen to their stories.

My treatment methods

Supportive

Clients have varying needs and respond to techniques differently. Sometimes CBT, talk therapy, EMDR or other techniques are best. In all sessions my goal is to be supportive as we take this journey together.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We are as we think we are is not just a metaphor. Our behaviors reflect how we think and we definitely can change both of those.

Christian Counseling

Many people benefit from appying faith principles to their current issues. I am happy to provide this as an option but I never force it on anyone.

Grief Therapy

I spent 7 years as a Bereavement Counselor for my local hospice. In addition, I have experienced many grief events including the loss of my husband.

EMDR

EMDR is a powerful therapy to address trauma issues. I use it when the client is open to it and when it seems the most appropriate therapeutic intervention.
