New to Grow
I am a therapist and a mother of three children, which gives me both professional and personal insight into the challenges individuals and families face. My work is grounded in supporting clients through real-life stressors with empathy, patience, and practical tools for change. I have several years of experience working with children and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as supporting those involved in crisis situations and the child welfare system. I value creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard and supported while also being encouraged to take active steps toward growth and healing. I am passionate about helping others build resilience, improve their quality of life, and feel more confident in managing life’s challenges. Fun fact: I often incorporate simple, everyday strategies from therapy into daily life—because sometimes the smallest mindset shifts can make the biggest difference.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where I take time to get to know you and your unique story. We will explore where you are currently, what has led you to seek additional support, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session is also an opportunity for us to begin building a strong, collaborative relationship and to discuss how I can best support you moving forward. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this is simply the start of our work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to create a relaxed, down-to-earth environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I prioritize building strong rapport early on, as I believe a genuine connection is the foundation for meaningful progress in therapy. I also bring a creative and flexible approach to my work, helping clients explore new perspectives and think outside the box when facing challenges. Whether in session or through strategies to use in everyday life, I aim to provide practical, individualized tools that support lasting growth and positive change.
I am best positioned to work with individuals and families who are ready to take an active role in their growth and make meaningful changes in their lives. My ideal clients are those seeking to improve their quality of life while navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I have several years of experience supporting children and families both within and outside of the child welfare system, as well as working in crisis settings with youth experiencing frequent behavioral health admissions. I understand how overwhelming these situations can feel and strive to help families navigate them with compassion, structure, and practical support. I value building a collaborative relationship with my clients and am committed to meeting you where you are. Together, we can explore what you need, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward lasting, meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This approach focuses on identifying and understanding unhelpful thought patterns, increasing awareness of how they influence emotions and behaviors. Together, we work to gently challenge these patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. As thoughts shift, behaviors and actions often follow, creating meaningful and lasting change. These skills are practiced both within sessions and in everyday life to support continued growth outside of therapy.
