Hello! My name is Melissa Sonthonax and I have seven years of experience in the mental health field (as an LMHC) in the state of FL. While, I have worked with clients of all ages, my primary work is with adults, especially from the 20s and 30s age range. My specialty is working with individuals who specifically struggle with general anxiety, social anxiety, low self esteem, relationship issues, life transitions and other everyday issues. I have training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and solution focused approaches. I understand that each person has their own unique situations, therefore I value giving each person individual plans of action to address their issues. My goal is for you to feel free to express yourself in addition to guiding you in identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. My counseling style is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. Sometimes it can be hard to reach out for help on addressing personal issues, especially with someone you don't know. However, I am here to meet you where you are and guide you in this process. I provide virtual and in person sessions. I look forward to speaking with you for a free 15 minute phone consultation.

I am licensed in Florida with 10+ years of professional work experience in conflict resolution and mental health counseling. I believe that empowerment is an essential and powerful tool in the healing process. I approach the therapist-client relationship with an open heart and mind, building upon trust, collaboration, and empathy to produce positive, transformative outcomes. I seek to facilitate change by entering the client’s psychological world, utilizing a phenomenological lens; this allows me to focus on the lived experiences of each individual and the personal meaning behind their circumstances past, present, and future to determine the most effective therapeutic interventions. My holistic approach to psychotherapy focuses on the overall relationship between mind, body & spirit. I have experience in helping clients with LGBTQ+ related issues, relationship issues, life transitions, family conflicts, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, and self esteem. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

I tend to thrive in crisis. Ideal with the toughest cases of trauma, shootings, cults abductions, and domestic violence. I have been able to help so many veterans as well over the past 12+ years in my positions with US Service Animals, Simple, Practice, Grow Therapy and other telehealth platforms. I was an early adopter of telehealth and I have seen it. Make such a difference for so many people because of the comfort that is brought by being able to open up in an environment you know is safe, your own home/space. I take a solutions focused and a client centered approach. I am also insight oriented. I have a lot of insight when it comes to dealing with physical pain and disabilities as I have a visual disability since very young and suffered a TBI at age 24. I like to focus on what issues you are having and come up with coping mechanisms that will work for you. Dealing with the struggles I have had throughout my life has helped me work with people and develop creative and effective coping mechanisms for their specific issues. I have now lived and worked in several states with varying cultures and have benefited from all of these experiences. I have spent a lot of time in a hospital and work well with nurses and medical professionals as well. Please reach out if you think I can help and I will meet you where you are and see where we can go from here.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood, so you can begin to feel relief knowing your healing journey is underway. I want you to feel proud of yourself for taking the step to prioritize your mental health; it truly matters. My style is warm, patient, encouraging, and direct in a way that supports growth without feeling harsh or overwhelming. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with a Master of Social Work (MSW), and I work with teens, young adults, couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based strategies for anxiety and emotional well-being. In our work together, I focus on helping you better understand yourself, process what you’re going or have gone through, and build practical tools to manage anxiety, trauma, depression, and life’s daily challenges. I believe in supporting healing from a trauma-informed lens while also empowering you to recognize your own strengths and growth along the way. If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, I often remind clients: Life will always bring challenges, and we all need support in navigating them. Seeking help is not something to be ashamed or afraid of; it’s a meaningful sign of strength and growth. Plus, there is a world of possibilities on the other side of your fear. Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me laughing or trying new foods; ideally both at the same time, but I’m not picky.

You may appear to have everything together on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed by racing thoughts, worry, and emotional exhaustion. Anxiety and overthinking can make it difficult to feel present, confident, or at ease, especially during periods of transition or uncertainty. Changes in relationships, career paths, personal identity, or daily responsibilities can leave you feeling stuck and emotionally depleted. I support adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, and life transitions in developing healthier coping strategies, emotional awareness, and a stronger sense of balance. Together, we explore the patterns contributing to overwhelm while building practical tools to help you feel more grounded, clear-minded, and confident in navigating life’s challenges.

Are you feeling stuck, telling yourself that you are going to change, but somehow ending up doing exactly what you promised yourself you wouldn’t do? Do you convince yourself that you are going to move forward and then find that anxiety, hopelessness, harsh self-judgments, or a bad temper take control and push you backwards? Do you find yourself in relationship patterns that leave you feeling cut off from those you long to be close too? If this sounds familiar, you don't have to face this alone. There are reasons you feel this way, and you can discover what those reasons are and how you can change to live a more fulfilling life. You may feel stuck because the way you are trying to solve your problems is by going back to the same strategies that got you stuck in the first place. It can be confusing seeing yourself stuck in thoughts and behaviors you know don’t work. Often this is because in the moment those strategies appear to be the only sensible choice, even when they aren’t. If you choose to work with me, together we can explore the ins and outs of that confusion so that you can find your way out of it. Because that can often feel threatening and disorienting, I will be patient and give you the space and safety needed to do this work at your own pace. Be that fast or slow or in-between. I look forward to working with you.

My name is Carlos Izquierdo, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other difficulties that may leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I believe that many psychological struggles are not signs of something being “wrong” with us, but rather the result of patterns and strategies that may have once served a purpose but are no longer helping us move forward. Therapy can provide an opportunity to understand these patterns, develop new perspectives, and discover more effective ways of responding to life’s challenges. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore what is holding you back, recognize your strengths, and develop more flexible and creative ways of navigating difficult situations. I see challenges not simply as problems to eliminate, but as opportunities for greater self-understanding, personal growth, and meaningful change.

Hi! My name is Noor. I am warm, empathic, perceptive, and wise. I have worked with a diverse range of clients for over half a decade, helping them each to find a pathway towards healing and wholeness. For each person, this has looked different, whether it's processing deep heartbreak, learning to forgive one's self or another, overcoming depression or anxiety, discovering one's core sense of worth, unearthing a buried sense of power, learning to say “No”, finding one's voice (again), upgrading to healthy coping mechanisms, healing from trauma (moderate or mild), or transcending self-sabotage. We each have our own afflictions and unique "cross to bear”, and I can help you feel less alone in holding yours. Specifically, I specialize in supporting clients struggling with worth, grief, belonging, feeling "othered", emptiness, assertiveness, relationship & communication challenges, religious or God wounds, spiritual bypass, burnout & soul weariness, managing chronic health issues, and inner child work. I attune to each client's individual needs and personalize my service to meet you exactly where you are. My approach is human and relational and feels inviting rather than clinical or formulaic. My orientation considers the whole mind-body-spirit connection as well as the emotions. Also, I carry a depathologizing lens. I do not see anyone as beyond repair or as a “lost cause”. I see all people as having access to inherent wellbeing and wholeness.

👋 Hi, I’m Don Patton, I’m a licensed mental health therapist specializing in substance use, co-occurring mental health conditions, and the patterns that keep people stuck despite wanting to change. My background is primarily in residential treatment, where I’ve worked closely with individuals in early recovery navigating high risk transitions, emotional instability, and repeated relapse cycles. That experience has shaped how I approach therapy. I’ve seen firsthand that insight alone is not enough. Many of the people I work with are intelligent, self-aware, and capable, but continue to struggle when it comes to applying that awareness in real-life situations. My work is focused on closing that gap. I tend to be direct, structured, and practical in session. I will challenge thinking patterns that are keeping you stuck; while also helping you build tools that are realistic and usable outside of therapy. At the same time, I understand that change requires trust, consistency, and a space where you can be honest without judgment. My goal is not just to help you understand yourself better, it’s to help you create measurable, sustainable change in how you think, respond, and move forward.

I completed my Masters in 2005, while also starting my journey in the field in 2004. I spent a year working in Opiate addiction but my true passion was children and families. I moved on to intensive services, working with underserved children and their families in rural areas, from 2005-2007. After leaving that position, I moved onto a company doing similar work. where I continued to work with children, families and adults that were underserved for 5 more years. I provided therapy in homes, schools and the office setting. I began to focus in on Trauma work as well as anxiety disorders to include OCD and all other anxiety disorders. After spending nearly 10 years in the field, I decided to get my license in the state of Florida (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and move into a management role where I worked for the past 13 years while also maintaining private clients. I supervise therapists, working to become licensed, so I spend a lot of time consulting on cases of all kinds. In this time I was also trained in various forms of trauma based cognitive behavioral approaches as well as EMDR (still learning however).

That's called the Strawman Argument and is a common problem of communication -- communication typically being the single biggest problem couples have. Communication is one of the social sciences, and one of John's specialties, along with Women's Studies, Pastoral Psychology and Clinical Social Work. He helps high-functioning men and women free themselves from low self-esteem and negative thinking. As a former officer in the Theosophical Society and a former professional psychic, he firmly believes in the value of Spirituality to Mental Health. He can also help with exercise and nutrition, to help create a holistically healthy situation for you. Whether you're dealing with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, or just feel overwhelmed, Prof Checkett is here to help -- even with time management! You might feel bit nervous about starting therapy, but he's extremely easy to talk to, knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects, and very media-literate. Most people feel better after a session. In a short time we can get you unstuck and back to living a happy life again.

Hello, I'm Ricardo, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy helping people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next in their lives. My approach is warm, honest, and practical. We'll work together to understand the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be holding you back while developing strategies you can use in your everyday life. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, a difficult relationship, low self-esteem, or adjusting to a major change, therapy can help you better understand what you're experiencing and begin moving forward. I want therapy to be a place where you can speak openly and feel understood without fear of judgment. At the same time, I want our work together to help you make real changes in your life, strengthen your relationships, and feel better equipped to handle challenges when they arise.

I am a therapist who provides a supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented space for adults and older adults. For more than 10 years, I have worked with older adults across a variety of settings, helping individuals navigate life transitions, aging-related challenges, emotional stress, health concerns, grief, and changes in independence or relationships. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique emotional and practical needs that can arise throughout adulthood and later life. I focus on helping clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and improve overall well-being while creating a space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My goal is to help clients make meaningful progress, improve daily functioning, and feel more confident in managing life’s challenges.
