Hello there : ) I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I have been practicing for 12 years. I create confidential, non-judgmental, and safe space for you to unpack your thoughts and process your feelings about whatever is causing you to feel sad, stuck, angry, or confused. It is a privilege to be a part of your journey of healing.
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor licensed in the state of California. I received my Master's in Counseling at the University of Great Falls. I have been practicing for over 10 years and have worked in both a community health center setting and in an individual practice. I enjoy working with diverse populations to improve their overall well-being in their daily life.
I am licensed in California with 34 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, recovery from addictions, relationship issues, trauma, & abuse. I also have experience working with depression and men's issues, including helping men deal with life transitions. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I am a straight-forward but empathic therapist, who also appreciates the same from her clients. I also believe in the social work mission of starting where the client is, so sessions are based upon that analogy. I have experience in many areas, including hospital, foster care, group homes, forensics, Veterans, home health, etc. I received my Masters of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve Univerity, and my Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. Although I have a doctorate degree, my scope of practice does not fall under psychological testing, pharmacological practices, nor community services. I only do individual therapy so if you need case management (such as letters), family/couples therapy, psychologicial testing, or medication, please refer to those licensed or practicing in those areas of expertise.
I'm Sheldon like the TV show! (Big Bang Theory). I help analytical high-achieving adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety and depression untangle their inner world and reconnect with their deeper self-using insight-driven therapy, dream exploration, and a creative lens that helps them uncover what's been buried beneath the surface.
Do you often say, "I'm successful on the outside but exhausted and anxious inside," "overthinking everything, but still feeling stuck," or being in a "constant sense of restlessness or dissatisfaction," or being a person who "struggles to access or name emotions clearly." I help clients have greater awareness and emotional clarity and begin to feel grounded, self-trusting and more internally connected. I hope to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms through deeper insight and ability to recognize and break unconscious patterns. I help clients discover meaning through creative exploration, and dream work. I want clients to increase their confidence in navigating relationships and decisions and moving from analysis paralysis to self-acceptance and expression.
My areas of expertise are in Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Mental Illness, Risk Assessment, Trauma, PTSD and Substance Abuse Disorders.
I am an LCSW from CA. I am a rarity, as I was born and raised in Los Angeles and have lived all over southern California. I have also traveled throughout the state and known how the state is unique.
I have experience working with the military, Veterans, and their families. I also have experience working with families and children of all ages. I have experienced working with mental health, chronic pain and cancer.
If you need therapy for court, I may not be a good fit for you. I will not be providing session notes to the court on your behalf. Also depending on what the nature of court is/why you need treatment, may not go beyond the initial assessment/first visit. If I do not feel comfortable with the reason, nature of court or any of anything along those lines; I will not be moving forward. I feel that I need to be direct with this as I have already provided previously "if you are seeking services for court; I would NOT be able to help with that. Please find another provider." Yet I am still receiving these referrals; therefore I am being direct about this and what expectations are.
My journey to mental healthcare
I did a lot of volunteer work and held a few AmeriCorps positions (America's version of PeaceCorps). I fell in love with helping people and I was told in order to achieve this, I would need to go back to school and complete my MSW.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience providing trauma-informed mental health care to individuals, couples, and families. My journey to becoming a therapist started 29 years ago on a personal recovery journey, recovering from personal trauma and addiction in the entire system growing up including family, and coming from a low SES background, therapy became a way to reconcile the change I was going through in my life. Working with and helping others has always been a calling of mine, and becoming a therapist was a natural extension of that ongoing work on both myself and in my work with others.
Beginning with a humanistic approach means meeting the client where they are at, and then conceptualizing the approach with a combination of humanistic and positive psychology, systems theory, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
Being a therapist is a lifelong passion for me and is rooted in my dedication to supporting adults, children, families, and communities in building safety, resilience, and hope. My journey has taken me from my home county of Santa Cruz where I advocated and ran groups for youth living in situations including domestic violence from 2011-2013, to working as a shelter counselor in Oakland for youth 13-21 from 2016-2018. I worked in serving famillies with San Francisco Child and Family Services, where I partnered with families navigating reunification with their children while providing psychoeducation and crisis counseling during critical moments from 2018-2022. I have been licensed with my LCSW since May 2025 and focused my prior professional development around harm reduction and culturally focused treatment, aligning with my commitment to social justice and culturally responsive care.

I am an LCSW based in the Bay Area who offers compassionate psychotherapy and counseling to people coping with loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I have deep expertise in end-of-life navigation, both pragmatically and emotionally, both for patients and clients facing their own end of life, and their caregivers. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, focused on building trust in a supportive and therapeutic environment. I have specific expertise working with school-aged and adolescent children, teens, and young adults, as well as significant experience providing grief and loss counseling to adults of all ages.
Navigating loss is one of the most profound challenges we face and it can feel overwhelming and isolating. I believe that grief is not something to be "fixed" or hurried through, but rather a normal, powerful human response that needs space, patience, and support.
My practice is built on the understanding that every age group expresses and processes loss differently, requiring a highly personalized and creative approach. I support my clients to co-create a safe space to express and process their emotions, build coping skills, and uncover strengths and resilience, to be able to move forward at the pace that is right for them. Grief impacts every aspect of life, and there is no "right" way to grieve. Together, I support my clients to find hope again, understanding that we can move forward without "moving on."

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I graduated with a Masters degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University. I have 4 years of working for Los Angeles County DMH where I provide many therapeutic skills and specialties to treat individuals. I am passionate and dedicated in guiding individuals to reach their life goals and their best potential in life.
My journey began working with children with disabilities, where I witnessed firsthand the power of patience, empathy, and connection. Over time, my work expanded to supporting families involved with child and family services—experiences that taught me the importance of understanding each person’s unique story without judgment.
Through these experiences, I learned that a person’s life circumstances do not define their worth or potential. This perspective continues to shape my approach to therapy today: meeting clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and helping them find strength and healing in their own journey.
