Hello, my name is Virginia. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in California. I have experience working with various ages from 3 to 50-years-old. I have worked in community-based mental health services to intense services with children, youth, and adults. Do you ever feel mixed emotions about specific events, situations, or relationships? Do you want to become more self-aware of yourself as an individual and increase your motivation? I love exploring self-awareness and self-love. I have a very open-minded style but can also be transparent to help motivate and challenge you. I enjoy making a difference in others’ lives. I believe that “On the other side of FEAR is SUCCESS.” Let’s work together to create change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introduction of who i am and my role. We will than explore your life history and the reasons that bring you to therapy. This will help me have a better understanding of your needs and a plan for us to work through in follow up sessions. I will give you an introduction of me background and work experience as a way for you to better understand my therapeutic style. We will also explore the importance of consistent sessions as it impacts treatment.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I specialize in many areas but enjoy working with others to help in Self-love, relationship stressors/issues, personal growth, individualization, stress management, communication, parenting skills, and so much more. Currently not providing couples/marriage therapy.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with Adults that are in college, single adults going through life changing events, single parents, mothers who have just given birth to provide a little support and guidance on their new adjustment in life. My clients are ready to make positive changes, growth, become more self-aware, and stable. Currently not providing couples/marriage therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy will help others understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors (reactions) can all be connected and impact each other mentally.
