Hi there! I am a therapist that has worked and lived on the east coast and the west coast utilizing my Florida and California license. I have worked with an array of different populations prior to becoming a therapist as I was actively involved with community health organizations, psychiatric hospitals, foster care facilities, domestic violence group homes, adult day care facilities, and crisis and text lines. Through this array of different experiences, I was given the opportunity to explore a wide array of populations and mental health disorders. I personally lost my Mother and brother to suicide and this has given me further insight into the reality of mental health situations and survival.
I have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and adults experiencing acute emotional distress or psychiatric episodes. I also understand the Latinx and first-generation experience. I grew up learning the power of strength and resilience, but also how easily we forget to care for ourselves. That's part of what inspired me to become a therapist. I understand that you are carrying a lot, sometimes from past generations. It's okay to reach out for help. I can help you navigate through generational trauma, cultural identity struggles, and the internal tension between honoring family sacrifices and pursuing personal independence. I can also help you navigate life transitions, grief and loss, and family conflict. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I offer a warm, collaborative space for you to seek deeper understanding and meaningful change. Healing happens in connection with others, and together we can cultivate the path toward growth, resilience, and wholeness. Healing is not only possible, but it's also a brave and powerful thing to do.
I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. When it comes to the therapeutic experience, my treatment motto is “therapy is a collaborative journey.” In treatment, the client or the patient sets the pace for treatment. As a clinician, we are trained to meet our patienst and clients where they are, currently, and provide services as appropriate. I always use this analogy when introducing how treatment will proceed to clients. I explain to clients that the therapeutic journey is like a road trip. They are in the driver's seat. They are setting the pace. They are deciding the route and the destination. All I do, as their therapist, is hold the GPS, suggest alternative routes when needed, and set the music.

I regard the client-therapist relationship as a partnership. As a therapist, my goal is to empower you in overcoming barriers in order for you to pursue the life you deserve. This process also entails enhancing your self awareness, i. e., your needs, your values as well as your ego strengths, etc. It includes acquiring new healthy coping skills to reclaim the life you are meant to live. Your new life is not just a dream. Know that it’s possible! I’m committed as well as equipped to help you.

If you are looking for structured CBT or skills-based homework, I may not be the right fit. Therapy with me involves examining avoidance and ambivalence as they arise (I’ll tend to be more direct with you when emotional or mental patterns like that emerge).
Most people don’t need more advice. They need space to slow down enough to hear what’s actually happening inside them. My work is less about fixing and more about listening; not just to the words, but to what’s underneath them. The pace of our conversations will be different from the rest of your life: slower, steadier, more honest. My goal is to help you come into contact with yourself again, to notice what’s true and what you really want.
