Hola~Aloha Welcome, Bienvenidos y E komo mai! I’m a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Art Therapist (ATR), Clinical Eco-Therapist, Certified 500 hour Yoga Teacher, and a Holy Fire Reiki Master. I help people improve their lives by increasing mindful awareness of one’s thought and speech patterns that perpetuate limitations. Together, we’ll cultivate mindfulness, reframe beliefs, and create opportunities for growth and empowerment. Rooted in my diverse Native American Mexica, Spanish, and European heritage, I bring a holistic, culturally grounded approach to therapy sessions. My personal Souljorn has taken me across Europe, Asia, Mexico, and the Hawaiian Islands, where I explored culture, permaculture, meditation, various healing arts, spirituality, and indigenous ceremonies. These experiences frame and influence my life and therapy work. I am inspired to help clients align with their Higher Self and conscious awareness. My Bachelor’s degree is in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley and my Master’s in Psychology and Art Therapy, where I studied neuroplasticity and techniques like Art Therapy and later found the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping. Th EFT approach helps accept and acknowledge unhelpful thoughts and emotions, so you can release them instead of avoiding them. This empowers one to transform and shift challenging thoughts and emotions and experience change. In my early career I worked in community clinics, schools, homes, and wilderness therapy programs. Now I primarily provide services online to California residents in private practice. If you are ready, let us assess your needs and desires and identify your goals. Whether you’re seeking to release old patterns, deepen your connection to yourself, and embrace your experience and or embrace new possibilities, I’m here to support your healing journey with compassion, care and purpose. The time for transformation is now. We are the ones we have been waiting for! If this connects for you, let us begin! Aloha

The main root of humanistic therapy lies in the belief that individuals have an innate capacity for personal growth, self-awareness, and the ability to make choices that lead to a fulfilling life. This approach emphasizes the whole person, focusing on the uniqueness and subjective experience of each individual.
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a goal-oriented and brief therapeutic approach that focuses on finding solutions to current problems rather than dwelling on the past or analyzing the root causes of issues. The primary goal of Solution-Focused Therapy is to help clients identify and build upon their existing strengths and resources to create positive change.
Mindfulness therapy, often based on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) principles, can be a helpful approach for clients experiencing anxiety. Mindfulness involves intentionally paying attention to the present moment without judgment. Here's how mindfulness therapy helps clients with anxiety: Increased Awareness: Mindfulness encourages clients to become aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations in the present moment. By developing this awareness, clients can observe and understand their anxiety without getting overwhelmed by it. Acceptance: Mindfulness emphasizes acceptance of the present moment, including one's emotional state. Instead of resisting or trying to control anxious thoughts and feelings, clients learn to acknowledge and accept them without judgment. This acceptance can reduce the struggle with anxiety. Focus on the Breath: Mindfulness often involves practices such as focused breathing. By paying attention to the breath, clients learn to anchor themselves in the present moment, increasing awareness of shallow or rapid breathing for example. Practicing intentional deep slower breathing through the nose can be particularly helpful for managing anxiety, as it provides a simple and always accessible point of focus. Mindful Observation: Clients are encouraged to observe their thoughts and feelings as if they were passing clouds, without getting entangled in them. This helps create a sense of detachment, reducing the emotional intensity associated with anxious thoughts. Grounding Techniques: Mindfulness teaches clients grounding techniques that bring attention to the present moment, such as feeling the sensation of the breath, noticing the environment, or paying attention to the senses. These techniques can interrupt the cycle of anxious thoughts.
Narrative therapy empowers clients by challenging and reshaping the stories they tell about themselves, their problems, lives, history and their possibilities. By co-creating new narratives, clients gain a greater sense of agency, resilience, and the ability to enact positive change in their lives and co-create new possibilities. Altering our speech patterns especially around limitation and how things have always been to co-create unlimited potential and increase in wanted outcomes and experiences.
