After starting my career in advertising, I realized through self-discovery and soul-searching that my real passion in life is helping others. In 2010, I decided to go back to school to be clinically trained in social work at Loyola University Chicago, where I spent extensive time working with both adolescents and adults. I have been practicing since 2012 and have been helping clients globally with a variety of issues in my core areas of expertise, including addiction, mood disorders, and identity issues. I am also certified in Financial Social Work, bridging my passions for personal finance and emotional well-being. I live in Chicago and enjoy sports, travel, reading, and quiet Sundays at home.

"Aloha! I help women (sorry, no men) who've done the inner work but still lose themselves in relationships rebuild embodied self-trust so they can stop overthinking, overgiving, and abandoning themselves-and create secure, healthy relationships. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, and I integrate traditional talk therapy with experiential therapies that aid in better nervous system regulation, healing, and overall relief of symptoms. Experiential, brain-based healing & somatic therapies can help accelerate change and often reduce time in counseling. I specialize in biologically based healing, which assists in resolving trauma symptoms that are frozen or stuck in the body. I have been in practice for 30 years, working in a variety of settings. I do not provide substance-use treatment or addiction counseling, and I am not currently accepting clts whose regular use of alcohol, cannabis, vaping/nicotine, or other recreational drugs is a significant part of their current functioning. In my personal life I am a wife, a mom of 4 young adults (2 are adopted), dog/animal lover, & divorce survivor. I enjoy spending time near the ocean, swimming, hiking, exploring in nature, cooking, writing, friends, music, worshiping, and learning/reading. Hello! I'm Michelle. As a dedicated mental health therapist, I am committed to guiding individuals on their journey towards well-being with a strong emphasis on self-care and intention. My goal is to get my clients started with building awareness of the patterns and behaviors causing distress, setting out to build strategies into seeing the “bigger picture”, and then making the choice to shift away into "new and different". I believe that the mental health journey can feel different for everyone and is valid for all. It’s addressing the pile-on effects of everyday stress and learning how to breathe through anxiety and panic attacks. It’s establishing and keeping a daily routine as part of ADHD symptom management and finding self-compassion when experiencing depressive thoughts. There is no perfect or prescriptive way to approach the process of mental well-being. My role as a therapist is to support, facilitate, and provide collaborative space to examine all the pieces.

I believe therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who's genuinely listening — really listening, not just waiting for their turn to speak. That's the space I try to create in every session: one where you can be honest without feeling judged, and where you leave feeling a little lighter than when you walked in. Many of my clients tell me they felt comfortable opening up right away, even in their very first session. That's not an accident — I take the time to understand where you actually are in your life before jumping to solutions. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, working through anxiety or depression, or just feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward, my goal is to help you see your situation more clearly and find a path that actually fits your life. I use an integrative approach — drawing on humanistic, solution-focused, and behavioral techniques — but the tools matter less than the relationship. I want you to feel heard, supported, and a little more hopeful after every conversation we have.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional with over 23 years of experience providing clinical services in one capacity or another. My experience includes working with children, teens, and adults and my areas of practice have included substance use, serious mental illness, and a variety of anxiety issues. I believe that you are the expert on your own thoughts and feelings, but unhelpful behavior patterns are not always as obvious to the person engaging in them. My role with you will be to help you discover those patterns and their root cause so that we can give them a tune-up to get you going on a more functional path. Why we do what we do has always been a strong focus of my clinical work. I believe that we can always find the reasons for our dysfunctional behaviors if we are open and willing to look for them. I will work well with you if you are open and curious about your own mind and/or are motivated to dig deep into your inner world to affect change. Dream analysis has also highly interested me, and I welcome discussing your dreams and what they could represent about your current life problems.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), my mission is to guide individuals on a journey back to their innate wisdom, compassion, peace, and confidence. I often think of the story of Michelangelo, who described sculpting as the act of chipping away marble to reveal the beauty already within. This metaphor beautifully captures the counseling process: together, we identify and remove the barriers obscuring your true SELF, allowing your inner brilliance to shine through. My approach is rooted in deep compassion for the human experience. I bring to our work a blend of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, enriched by certifications in Mind-Body Bridging, Cognitively-Based Compassion Training, and Cultivating Emotional Balance. I draw from powerful therapeutic frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Compassionate Inquiry, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.

I am a Latinx bilingual and bicultural psychotherapist. I have a master’s degree in social work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My expertise has centered on providing therapeutic care in inpatient settings and community mental health centers with a focus on crisis and trauma interventions. I am trained in mindfulness-based approaches, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, parent training and Motivational Interviewing. In therapy, I address patient's concerns which include depression, anxiety, domestic violence and complex trauma. My approach to care is to create a safe and comfortable environment for all of my clients and I believe individuals can excel when addressing their symptoms from a systematic, family and individual approach. I began practicing 9 years ago at a community mental health center with survivors of domestic violence. Thereafter, I worked with adolescents experiencing depression and anxiety. The next five years I spent my time working with pediatric patients in the Autism spectrum addressing behavioral concerns. In this process I have worked with the LGBTQ+ and Latinx community and inclusive of other communities. It is my belief that therapy is unique to each individual and I cater individually to all my patients. I practice cultural humility as I continue to learn about cultural uniqueness and differences. I continue to research and inquire about patients' experience to improve my approach to therapy, the therapeutic relationship and experience.

Hi, I'm Jackie. One question stays with me before every session: If I were sitting where my client is sitting, what would help me feel safe enough to come back? That question shapes how I show up as a therapist. Therapy changed my life because it gave me something I didn't know I was missing, a place where I didn't have to perform, explain, or earn my worth. That's the kind of space I hope to create for every person I work with. I don't believe people are broken. I believe people adapt. One quote has stayed with me for years because it captures that idea better than I ever could: "I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either." I think many of us grow up in our own version of a glass house. Maybe you became the responsible one, the peacemaker, the perfectionist, or the person who learned to stay quiet. Those weren't flaws, they were ways of surviving. The challenge is that what helped us survive then doesn't always help us live now. That's where therapy begins. Together, we'll become curious about the patterns you've been living, not because I want to fix you, but because I want you to understand yourself. My approach integrates attachment theory, parts work, CBT, DBT, and nervous system regulation because healing isn't about treating isolated symptoms. It's about making sense of your story so you can trust yourself, build healthier relationships, and create a life that feels more like your own.

Hello! My name is Amaris, and I’m glad you’re here :) Do you ever feel like you’re carrying more than your share — emotionally, mentally, or relationally? Do you find yourself doubting your needs, overthinking decisions, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s wellbeing? Many women move through the world with expectations and pressures that shape how they show up. My work focuses on helping women understand the “why” behind their emotions and behaviors so they can move through life with more clarity, confidence, and self‑trust. Sometimes personal growth means recognizing that you’re either going to deal with your stuff, or your stuff is going to deal with you. Therapy is a powerful place to begin that process.

Hey, I’m Amber. I’m so glad you’re here! I know sometimes it can be pretty scary searching for a therapist who helps you feel known and understood. That is the kind of therapist I strive to be. Let me share a little about myself. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 11 years now. I worked in community mental health for 10 1/2 of those years before deciding to branch into my own private practice. I am now licensed in Illinois and Missouri. I grew up in a very conservative and religious family, even attending seminary, so I do know those beliefs well. It took me until I was 25 to be brave enough to live my authentic self as a gay individual, knowing it would cost me most of my family and friends. It hasn't been easy, but it has been worth it. It is now my desire to be the support for you that I never had as you live your own truth and tell your own story.

Hello, and welcome! My name is Megan Allegretti, and I am so proud of you for considering the incredibly difficult step of seeking mental health therapy. In an effort to make this process feel less intimidating, here are some things about me, to see if my approach is a solid fit for you. My approach works with the intention to aid in healing from the distress in your mental and emotional world. Often we create various behavioral patterns in life, that worked at some point, but now you notice them becoming maladaptive. We will look at becoming more internally aware of systems that are not cutting it anymore for you, why those patterns evolved in the first place. With this understanding it can aid in identifying the function of behaviors, and better aid with implementing new skills in its place. My goal for treatment is to come with you along your journey, so you will not have to feel alone. I will also provide skills, education, processing, and perspectives you might not be able to see from your angle. If this feels like a good fit for you, please reach out to set up an intake together.

Hello, I'm Tracey. "Relationships often die not because of conversations that were had but rather conversations that were never had," (Lysa Terkeurst). Communication is the #1 most reported reason for couples to enter therapy. It is the "appropriate" way of saying, "he doesn't listen to me," and "all she wants to do is talk and talk, {nag}" or giving each other what I refer to as the "non-verbal abuse" {silent treatment}. It means I don't know my partner, or we can't talk without fighting. Yet almost every couple starts off communicating at some level. I mean, come on--you and your partner would not be a couple if the first date involved playing the "Staring contest" where the first one to blink loses. What we fail to recognize is that Communication is a form of Intimacy. And all other forms on intimacy hinge on protecting the communicative intimacy. So, what is that and how do I get some before we leave each other? Communicative intimacy refers to the deep emotional and relational closeness that develops through communication, where individuals feel understood, valued, and connected on a personal level. It is both a feeling and a process shaped by how people interact, listen, and respond to each other. It involves an aligned commitment to taking care of it and protecting it. So, time's a wasting and you both are out of options. You both need to commit to starting this before you commit to ending.

On paper, your life may look like it’s together. You show up for work, take care of the people around you, and handle your responsibilities. But underneath that, you may be carrying anxiety, burnout, loneliness, relationship stress, or the constant pressure to keep it all together. If you’ve spent years being “the strong one,” therapy can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to perform, have all the answers, or pretend you’re okay. My style is warm, conversational, and direct. I’ll meet you with compassion while also helping you recognize the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together we’ll build practical tools, increase insight, and create meaningful change that extends beyond our sessions. I enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, boundaries, dating and relationships, family dynamics, burnout, and major life transitions. Hi, I’m Shaleatha Brown, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and U.S. Army veteran. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I understand that life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, struggling with your emotions, working through painful experiences, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and begin moving forward. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. My style is direct and collaborative, with a practical focus: I'll name what I'm noticing, and I expect us to build something useful together rather than just talk in circles. My clinical background spans child trauma work, family therapy, and years treating addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, so I bring real range along with genuine curiosity about your particular story.

My work as a therapist has grown out of years of supporting people in many different environments and stages of life. I’ve spent over 15 years working with adults with a wide range of neurodivergence and abilities, helping them discover their strengths, build confidence, and move toward goals that matter to them. I’ve also worked as a Career Counselor for the county, guiding people through assessments, career transitions, and educational planning. Along the way, I’ve supported individuals in correctional settings, helping detainees navigate mental health challenges, adjustment issues, and the emotional weight that comes with major life disruption. I also have experience responding to crisis situations, offering support to people during moments of intense emotional distress or behavioral emergencies. What that means for you is that we’ll work together in a way that fits you — your personality, your pace, your goals. I aim to create a space that feels safe, open, and genuinely supportive, where you can explore what’s going on in your life and start making meaningful changes. supportive, where you can explore what’s going on in your life and start making meaningful changes. You don't know if this works and you're at the point where you are afraid that nothing will work. We have all been there, me included. I understand and I do not judge.
