Hi there, I’m Rupa. Are you living the authentic life you envision for yourself? Does your dream match your reality? I help individuals of all ages to discover who they truly are. Together, we will explore your strengths and passions. We will also identify any obstacles which may be holding you back from reaching your full potential. I incorporate a variety of interventions into sessions to help process deep feelings- with the goal of building strength and resilience as you begin writing your next chapter. Whether it's anxiety, trauma, or other issues that are keeping you from fully living your life, I am here to provide support. I bring more than 15 years of clinical experience in non-profit, private practice and hospital settings. A strong focus has been on work with marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+, special needs, and BIPOC individuals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Sessions are meant to be collaborative, where we develop a plan and rhythm that works for you. Each person is different and I listen closely and request feedback to ensure that we are using an approach that feels right for you. Some clients are seeking a relatively unstructured safe space to let out their emotions and receive validation and compassion. Others are hoping for a more concrete approach with goals and benchmarks clearly outlined, and strategies provided and practiced. Whatever your vision is for your therapy process, my hope is to provide a comfortable environment so you can explore and move towards your goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I take a systems approach to therapy, looking at the whole person as a part of many larger systems, including school, work, relationships, and broader society. I am currently in training as an expressive arts therapist and draw from music, dance/movement, drama, and art interventions. I also incorporate elements of CBT and DBT regularly in sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Past clients have shared feeling like they can finally relax in therapy. Some have expressed that sessions are fun and unique. I am gratified to hear so many state that they feel more hopeful, that they see their own strength and worth...and that they believe in and love themselves more as a result of our work together. Wherever you are on your therapy journey, I’d be honored to join you.
