Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) based in Texas. I received my Masters from Texas State University and have been practicing for 15 years. I help those struggling with identity issues as well as troubled relationships manage feelings and navigate life. It is my goal to help you understand how your support system can help you get thru some of your most troubled times.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing in a full biopsychosocial assessment. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I bring a candid manor and humor into therapy that will make you feel at ease in communicating whether it be in person or face to face.
I love working with people of all ages and backgrounds. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their lives and I am here to help.
Through CBT, individuals often learn valuable coping skills and strategies that they can apply in their daily lives. This can lead to increased feelings of empowerment and self-efficacy, as individuals gain confidence in their ability to manage their emotions and behaviors.
ACT emphasizes mindfulness and acceptance as central components of psychological flexibility. People often report that learning to be present in the moment and accepting their thoughts and feelings without judgment can lead to greater emotional resilience and well-being.
A key focus of CPP is strengthening the relationship between the child and their primary caregiver(s). Caregivers often report feeling more connected to their child and better equipped to meet their emotional needs after participating in CPP sessions.
