Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 40 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and find a greater sense of balance and fulfillment. My career has taken me through many roles—serving on community mental health boards, directing psychiatric residential programs, and leading clinical teams—all with one goal: to support people in living fuller, healthier, and more connected lives.
Since stepping back from full-time leadership roles, I’ve shifted my focus to what I value most—working directly with clients through my online therapy practice. I specialize in supporting young and middle-aged adults, couples, and parents who are facing life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, addictive habits, or a sense of feeling stuck.
My approach combines the practical tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a deeper exploration of the emotional and mental blocks that may be holding you back. I believe healing and growth happen when we align mind, body, and spirit—restoring a sense of inner harmony that allows you to live with more clarity, purpose, and peace.
Therapy is a journey, and you don’t have to take it alone. If you’re ready to begin creating positive changes in your life, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Feel free to explore my website and see how we might work together.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Northeast Texas. After a career as a teacher and public school counselor, I made the decision to start working as an LPC and I have never regretted making the change. I truly love what I do. I am excited to meet you and begin our work together. Congratulations on making the decision to take this step towards a better future.
I have thirteen years of clinical experience counseling individuals struggling with issues including anxiety, depression and trauma. I greatly value providing you with an authentic and judgement free experience. I find my clients appreciate my direct approach. In other words, I will give it to you straight. We will work towards what you want in life and that often means moving through what one historically avoids. What lies on the other side of the pain is the life you were meant to live. I also enjoy incorporating humor into our work together. Anxiety, depression and trauma often steal our joy and sense of humor. Joy and humor can be found again.
Welcome my friends. I’m a combat veteran and retired Army officer, a devout Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and experienced clinical psychologist. I want to get into the root causes of your battle and find ways to overcome, change, forgive, accept, and move upward toward the light. It may not seem like it, but the darkness will eventually lift, and the light will surely shine again.
Life is a battle in the heart, and I humbly accept that I will be in my own battle or someone else’s battle for the rest of my life. Like the weather, our emotions are powerful. Many days the sun shines, but the rains do come and sometimes a destructive storm hits hard (divorce, the loss of a loved one, cancer, suicidal thoughts, et cetera). It's a battlefield. When it comes to the challenge of relationships, so often, it is ego (pride), self-esteem, and powerful emotions at the root of our conflicts. To understand these forces is the key to peace. Let's work through it!
I have been honored to be in the field of psychology for 20 years since 2004. Through the years, more than half of my time was in the Army where I primarily worked with soldiers enduring anxiety, depression, trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, and all the other usual suspects of psychological distress. It is time well spent to analyze our guilt, fear, worry, shame, pain, heartbreak, addiction, identity conflicts, and sorrow. I’ve also worked in the prisons for many years with some extreme situations (i.e., murder, severe mental illness, rape, child molestation, drug kingpins, gang leaders). So, no matter what your circumstances are, never quit and never give up! Survival is a noble plight!

Does this sound familiar?
You want to have a healthy relationship with others, but instead you feel:
Overwhelmed and depressed,
Negative about your self worth,
Afraid of being hurt if you allow yourself to be open,
Worried you won’t be able to stay safe,
Unable to stop focusing on past trauma and move forward with your life?
It doesn’t have to be this way.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and have been practicing for 10 years. I am bilingual (Spanish and English) and work with both individuals and couples.
My counseling style for individuals focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and perspectives. For couples, my counseling style includes helping the couple improve their relationship through increasing their emotional bond.
While in therapy I will help you identify your inner strengths and regain control over your life. I will remind you to “not give up on yourself” and the goals you have for your life. I focus on you learning to truly love who you are, including your childhood, past, trauma, and hurt, as all of these experiences have impacted who you are, but they do not have to define you. I will place a high emphasis on building a strong rapport with you and making therapy more like a relaxed conversation. There is no need to feel ashamed or timid about sharing your experiences, as you did not come to me to be judged, you came to me for help, and that is what I am here to offer. I know therapy can be challenging to start and commit to, especially when it comes to making positive changes, so know that I will challenge you and ask you some hard questions, not to intimidate you, but to help you grow.

Hi! I'm a TX based clinical social worker with 9 years of experience working with youth (13-17), young adults (18-24), and their families. I adopt a "meet you where you are" approach to therapy. I believe therapy should be collaborative and client-led. I help young people struggling with their emotions, particularly anger, sadness, and feelings of anxiety. I also work with families to improve communication and connection. Parents learn to engage with and adapt to the ever-changing needs of their children. Young people learn to recognize different perspectives and grow in their empathy for others.
Hello and welcome. You have taken a big step towards helping yourself. I hope that I have the privilege of working with you.
My name is Yvette Ramirez, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I continued my education at Capella University and graduated with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I started my counseling career working with clients I visited in their homes and helped them understand their diagnosis, teach them how to cope with their symptoms, and taught the importance of medication adherence. I was promoted to the Integrated Care department where I practiced solution-focused therapy with clients whose medical issues exasperated their mental health issues, or vice versa. I was trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in the State of Texas and continue to utilize CBT in my practice today. I was promoted to a supervisory position for the Assertive Community Treatment Team and led a team of 13 case managers, nurses, and LCDCs, who worked with clients who were high utilizers of the local mental health hospitals and were in crisis often. I was the lead counselor for the team. and was trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to assist our clients with the trauma they have endured and taught them to challenge the negative thoughts they had about themselves regarding the trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming to help those who have lived through a traumatic event that is causing distress in their lives, or clients who endure distress they find difficult to handle. I have worked with individuals, couples and families seeking counseling for over 10 years, both online and in person, and expanded my counseling career working with children, adolescents, and teenagers now for 8 years.
My name is Graham Maxey. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1983, after graduating from the University of Houston/Clear Lake with a Master of Arts in Behavioral Science. I had noticed for many years that the primary problems people experienced in life were mainly due to living in a space of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that were "too small" to accommodate their well-being or their enjoyment in living. My goal as a counselor has always been to help clients "widen" the spaces they live in and let them have fuller access to all that their lives actually can provide for them.

I am a psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that our thoughts produce our feelings and the feelings produce behavior.
Getting in touch with what we are perceiving about a situation can be altered by knowing the 10 cognitive distortions in our thinking and reframing them to be rational and produce a healthier behavior. I also work with life transitions with older adults.
Many of us have been effected by trauma and I offer trauma therapy by utilizing EMDR developed by Francine Shapiro in the 70's and is a very effective tool inprocessing and reducing the intensity of trauma.
With older adults I offer 10 years experience working with a geropsychiatrist in Austin, Texas.
