Warm greetings to the Grow Therapy community!
My counseling journey began in 2019, inspired by a deep commitment to helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner resilience. I hold a Master of Science in Licensed Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, which allows me to bring both clinical expertise and creativity into my work.
I specialize in supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, self-esteem challenges, personality disorders, substance use, and eating disorders. I also work with clients navigating career transitions, parenting struggles, and codependency.
My approach is holistic, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. Through this integrative lens, I help clients regulate emotions, reframe unhelpful self-narratives, and cultivate healthier coping skills. Mindfulness practices support clients in staying present and grounded, while Narrative Therapy empowers them to rewrite their stories with hope and clarity. Above all, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where healing feels possible.
My goal is to provide care that is not only effective but also tailored to each client’s unique needs. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and together we work toward clarity, confidence, and lasting growth.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy time with my family and pets, exploring the outdoors, and expressing creativity through writing and photography.

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD.
I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings.

My clinical background includes work in hospitals, substance-use treatment programs, and outpatient private practice, where I integrate evidence-based approaches within a holistic, person-centered framework.
I am also the author of When Heaven Was Silent: Integrating Psychology and Theology in the Garden of Gethsemane, which explores the experience of mental suffering through both clinical and historical perspectives. My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose.
In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. As a social worker for twenty years, I have seen both the incredible hardships that people face as well as human resilience and adaptability. In therapy sessions, I use humor, warmth, and genuine respect to create a safe and supportive space for that purpose.
I help individuals manage chronic mental health conditions, and also assist clients who are having difficulty managing or resolving problems of everyday life. Sometimes we feel stuck and overwhelmed in our current life situations. We will focus on managing your symptoms, and then dive deeper into addressing the root causes. Much of my past work is related to trauma, but current work is transitioning towards sex therapy to focus on the healing and somatic approaches that can have treatment benefits for those who have experienced trauma. Trauma work has focused on relationship based trauma, such as betrayal trauma and helping clients heal and establish healthy boundaries to reduce risk for repeated and destructive relationship patterns and increase behaviors that contribute to healthy relationship dynamics that increase communication techniques, trust, security, and pleasure in relationships. Couple’s counseling applies approaches that focus on communication, connection, and being supportive of each other during difficult times in the relationship. My name is Vincent Egbuchulam, and I am a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, teen issues, anger and stress management, life transitions, aggression, and ADHD. In addition, I am a retired board-certified Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience.
My counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT involves helping clients learn and practice new skills, develop healthier thinking patterns, and adopt more effective coping strategies. I may assign homework to reinforce the skills we work on during sessions, as I believe that applying these techniques in your daily life enhances their effectiveness. SFBT operates on the principle that individuals are competent and capable of finding solutions to improve their lives. In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to describe your challenges, set personal goals, and provide feedback. Occasionally, I may incorporate other techniques, such as role-playing, if they are beneficial for your progress.
I am committed to supporting those who seek to enhance their emotional well-being. During our initial visit, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and outline what you hope to achieve from our sessions. The first session typically lasts about an hour. You can expect a highly professional, objective, nonjudgmental, and confidential experience.

“As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has—or ever will have—something inside that is unique to all time. It’s our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression.” —Fred Rogers
Not to steal from Mr. Rogers, but that is what I love about therapy--the uniqueness of each individual that I meet and the opportunity to collaborate with them to move forward in life with the resources needed for self-healing and an increased awareness of their own value, relationship building skills, and confidence in their ability to handle and resolve conflict in its many forms. I am a relational, somatic, harm reductionist practitioner. I believe therapy looks different for each person, and taking the time to figure out what that looks like together is a meaningful part of our work in itself. I am not afraid to challenge you, but I will also be a safe place for you to land--I'll make you a cup of tea or join you in throwing things at my wall. I celebrate whimsy and I honor deep internal rage, because life is a spectrum, and healing doesn't happen in a linear or organized way most of the time. We're all enigmas, and isn't that the most fascinating and wonderful thing! We all deserve someone who will take the time to learn who we are; I hope you'll grant me the honor of allowing me to know you.

With over 15 years of professional experience, I am committed to helping others find ways to be their best. I want you to be successful. Because of that, I work hard to find out where you're stuck in life and how to help you feel better. I am licensed in Colorado and Texas. I completed my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State College in Colorado where I enjoyed living in the San Luis Valley, taking day hikes on the weekends and enjoying the majestic mountain views.
My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly seen and understood. I work from a trauma-informed, relational lens, helping you build resilience, strengthen connections, and move toward the life you want with greater clarity and confidence. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, healing from past experiences, or working to deepen your relationships, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion and practical tools. If this approach resonates with you, you can easily book a session through my profile and take the next step toward healing and empowerment.
As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I deeply believe in the power of your unique story. With 15 years of experience, I've learned that everyone's path to wholeness is as individual as they are. My therapy space is one of non-judgmental acceptance, where you can express yourself authentically. I'm dedicated to understanding your experiences, your struggles, and your dreams. I'll meet you where you are, honoring your pace and your unique path to healing.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, panic, or emotional stress - or noticing patterns from the past repeating in your relationships - you’re not alone. Unresolved trauma, depression, or anger can affect the way you think, behave, and connect with others. These patterns can also affect how you see yourself - leading to self-doubt, low self-esteem, or a sense of not being good enough.
I’m Manuel Olvera, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I specialize in helping adults work through anger, anxiety, acute and complex trauma, depression, self-doubt, and relationship issues, so you can feel more calm and balanced. I also welcome clients who struggle with ADHD-related challenges, particularly when emotional regulation or past trauma is involved. Teenagers are also welcome.
In therapy, I aim to listen more than I talk. I offer guidance and explain psychological concepts when they’re helpful, but my main focus is creating space for you to express yourself and process what you're feeling. I ask questions to help you explore your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors - and I follow your lead.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and elements of CBT to support healing at the level of both the mind and body. I also help you explore how past wounds may be affecting your current relationships. For couples, I use the Gottman Method and often work with each partner individually in addition to joint sessions - especially when personal trauma is showing up in the relationship dynamic.
Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, struggling with anger, shutdown, or self-doubt - or feeling disconnected from yourself or the people around you - therapy can help. You don’t have to have all the answers. If you’re ready to start, I’d be honored to work with you.
